If you speak Italian, then it’s playing cards at La Prima in the Strip.

Thank you for this!
Also I've heard old dudes talk about Peppi's.

We could get rid of school property taxes and only use property taxes for municipality and county services and instead fund schools using an equitable and just distribution of state income tax (double it and make it progressive) The city has school property taxes half of most surrounded municipalities. That works for the city because it doesn’t have as many retired people as the suburbs.

Try to find a couple of indoor ranges where you can rent a gun. Range USA just opened in Robinson (I haven’t been yet), but I know there are a few more out there. Most of the time the people there will guide you if you tell them it’s your first time. They’ll tell you the best firearm to start with, show you how it works, and give you the basics on safe handling.
In addition, start googling PA gun laws. Even if you don’t plan on purchasing one right away, it’s good to familiarize yourself with what the laws in Pennsylvania are when compared to other states.

Range USA in Robinson also has rentals, and I believe training. They're right next to the Mall.

Yeah welcome to trying to buy a house in Pittsburgh. Been at it for 6 months, lose bids in terrible fashion (even when we are the highest bidder someone else waives inspection). It’s annoying, most of the houses are over priced or need A LOT of work. Feeling your pain on this.

I grew up in the city and then moved to the "poor part" of Mt. Lebanon as a teen. My older friends would always dunk on me for being "rich now." I get that stigma.

One dog, or more?
If you have multiple dogs it's often less expensive (and stressful on the dogs) to hire an in-home pet sitter.

The market in Dormont has been crazy. I looked there and was turned away by everything getting multiple offers and over list. Even saw a fixer upper, same story

But it’s a loophole to just remodel after the sale if there are annual assessments. I don’t know how you would find these remodels without annual interior inspections of every property in the county.

I personally don't say I am from Pittsburgh, I generally say that I am from the South Hills because there's USC stigma. And we have lived in Squirrel Hill so we have done city life. My husband is retired Air Force so we have lived lots of places.

Honestly, it doesn't matter.
Suburbanites calling themselves "Pittsburghers" is technically wrong (you live where you pay local and school taxes), but it isn't hurting anyone.
I do wish people from Fayette and Butler would leave our names out their mouths, though.

Could be that the mail service was shut down on your street or at your address. Sometimes the post office shuts down service because of aggressive people, dogs, or other dangerous situations like icy walkways, collapsing stairs or porches, etc. Your mail might be at the post office, waiting for you. Bring a bag or two.
