I really like Mr. Small's in Millvale, it's a cozy joint that you get intimate shows at. I'm always going to other random venues seeing smaller bands and tribute bands

Hello neighbor. You probably won't have any trouble, but after my move, I gotbrid of most of my boxes by giving them away on Craigslist. The rest I just drove over to Construction Junction.

I’m not sure what the market really is for washing cans. Easy to see why it didn’t work out as a business.

You’re telling me if someone walked through a tailgate at the Steelers stadium in that exact situation (home game to decide who goes to the Super Bowl) it’s going to be friendly banter and pleasantries? You’re gonna welcome me with open arms and hand me a beer? As I said I don’t defend assholes. We are a passionate group. But the vast majority of us are not like that. Listen, no one’s asking you to root for the eagles.

Sheetz used to be unique. They sold a bunch of cool stuff. Bawls, sprechers, faygo. But they sold out to the big guys. And went cheap to product their own crap. Not enough shelf space when there's Two coolers filled with monster and red bull. Their own line of iced coffee cans and fake faygo pops are attrociously bad.

I wear sunscreen every day but don't reapply during the winter. Windows don't generally protect you from UVA rays so even if you're inside all day, better safe than sorry :) I have tried sooo many sunscreens to find one that feels good & doesn't burn my eyes, my favorites are the Avene Solaire, Australian gold tinted sunscreen, Biore UV, and the trader joes one that has been mentioned a few times.
I will admit that it can feel silly putting on sunscreen when I haven't seen the sun in days if not weeks... but I use tret & get eczema so I figure I need the added protection.

Very fair, skin health conscious here. My view is that it’s more important to get whatever vitamin d you can here in the winter than protect yourself from what little UV there could be.
I’ll sunscreen my face in summer if I’ll be outside.

It's an "abandoned" car wash, not an "abandon" car wash.

They take a lot, I break down boxes and place them in the largest box. They have always taken them.

Duct tape isn't recyclable so there's a chance they won't take it. Some of the sanitation workers don't care and will pick it up anyway, but others will play by the rules.

Thunderbird usually your best bet then. I’ve seen an interesting show at the Warhol once - Malian blues group. Was totes the wrong (blue haired) crowd and venue or would have otherwise been a hoppin show.

You bought a house in one of the highest tax area with one of the worst school districts. The school district just robbed its residents by building a billion dollar school. Now when homes sell the school district sues you to get your assessment closer to your purchase price. If you fight you will end up being assessed at 80% of your purchase price.

Not from here. Have spent a little time in Austin and other town with good local and indy music scenes.
100% this. There really is no local music scene. It’s a lot of mainstream country and clinging to 90s grunge, very dated “metal”, or classic rock.

They'll take a ton of cardboard. Just break and cut it down to manageable chunks. When I have a lot of cardboard, I'll stack it and wrap with duct tape string so they can just grab the bundle.
edit: use string instead

Also you’re claiming Pittsburgh hates Philadelphia in a thread where majority are saying it’s ok to cheer for the Eagles. If anything, we hate that we can’t go to games that are just a few hours away in an otherwise lovely city of history, food, and arts, without having to deal with immature people. It may only be a small percent of yinz but wayyyyyy higher than any other city.

I honestly only put it on if I'm going to be outdoors more than like a half hour or it's summer here. I'm not outdoorsy and don't get out much in the daytime. FWIW LA Roche Posay's Anthelios AOX is really good.

Due to ongoing lawsuits the 80% number may be revised to 63%
They spent $140 million on buildings. The high school was $60 mil. Many districts build new schools around the same time. Bethel park built a $100 mil school. The new buildings were symptoms of the problem in Penn hills not the cause. The whole district was run poorly with poor accounting and declining enrollment and a shrinking tax base.
Here is some actual information on the school district instead of made up numbers
