Still wondering about #1. What's the catch?

I lucked out. When I was in my 20s, I could choose from Chauncys, Donzis, Metropol, Rosebud, and countless others. Matrix was after I stopped going to clubs and settled down to the local bar scene. Now I just enjoy hitting a brewery here and there. My daughter is 21 now and she was just complaining about wanting to go dancing and there was nowhere decent.

I regularly trust that other drivers travel that route more often and have a better sense of what they're doing. Everyone's getting in the left lane? Yeah, that's probably where I want to go too. There's an intersection where it's going from 2 lanes to 3 lanes in the middle of the intersection with no markings? Sure, wherever you think our lane is going sounds good to me.

I avoid Capital at all cost regardless of the weather or road conditions...I have a compact SUV so I get bounced around pretty good unless I slow way below the speed limit

I do agree. They keep trying to close off capital though which is the best way to get off of our street, since the Belgium blocks give traction that the other options do not have

Hi! I moved here from Austin in May. It’s def a bummer seeing all the shows going through Austin and skip here - they go to Philly and/or Cleveland over Pittsburgh most of the time. I honestly haven’t put much effort into finding a “scene” here but out of the local stuff I’ve stumbled on it’s been all good. It’s just not a real big part of the culture here like it is/was in Austin. I could def put in more effort but it also doesn’t seem promoted as much. I did check out shows at the local music fest here and most was metal/metal adjacent. I’m a bit more into Americana/soul/funk/indie rock and it very well could also be a genre thing. Seeing Angel Olsen Friday tho so that’s exciting. My partner is into country and there is more of the pop stuff that comes through at the larger venues.

My dead end street in Brookline was plowed around 8:30am and I was really surprised they got to it that early. And then by that afternoon all the snow had melted anyway 😂
