I pay $4200 for Los Gatos, CA (think more expensive than San Jose).
I have a 2 car garage and 2 bathrooms on a quiet street in a great neighborhood.
I'd randomly purchase a house in Pittsburgh before I'd pay $4500 a month.
Heck for 12 months of $4500 = $54,000 you could purchase a beater house in a worse neighborhood while you're trying to find your actual house, and you can burn it to the ground when you're done and still come out ahead.
Buy something for $200k that you know or strongly suspect is a stopgap and then start looking at your own pace.

Lake Erie + Appalachian mountains. The jet stream picks up a lot of moisture over the Great Lakes and dumps some of it when it rises over the Appalachian mountains. Pittsburgh is in the western foothills of the Appalachian mountains so we are on the windward side of the mountains. That’s why we have so many cloudy and wet days.

That's a faster response time than the last one. It took minutes before one sheriff dept. car slowly rolled down Wood w/ L&S. I wonder if Shotspotter has a reliability problem or something .

Per Capita, Pittsburgh likely has the best local jazz scene in the US (I’ve previously lived in NY and Boston). Check out the calendar of Con Alma (two locations), Kingfly Spirits, and City of Asylum.
There’s also a healthy amount of punk, electronic, and experimental music happening, too. The Government Center record shop has live music a few times a week. Many of the people driving underground efforts are students/faculty/alums of CMU and music/art programs at Pitt who have a ton of institutional support to make stuff happen in the community.
The PSO is a great orchestra with new programs every week, too. Right up there with the Houston symphony (keeping with the TX theme here…) if you ask me.

Was there a shooting on the bridge, or are you thinking of the last one where they fled across the bridge?

I moved to Lawrenceville in 2015 and paid $1425 for 3 stories, full basement, and off-street parking, which is a must there.
Seriously, do not pay TRIPLE that.
Also, my mortgage payment in Beechview is $1085. Just buy a house on public transportation in a non-gentrified neighborhood.

My cleaner is an individual who I found online through Care.com. She comes once a month and is very reasonably priced. If you are interested I can DM her info.

Same. A lot of parks around here have pretty great walking trails too. Love hiking but it's a bit slippy this time of year!

It was a few days before Valentine's Day and we enjoy whiskey, wine and chocolate, man
It's not that serious
Anyway, it wasn't fantastic. Music was OK. But somehow almost all of the vendors were kinda second-rate.

Have you heard of Skullfest? Mostly punk with a bit of metal, goth, noise, and electronica on some nights scattered across multiple venues. Caught the tail end of it last year and it was really solid.
Summer Recess is another decent, more eclectic and varied local festival - for the most recent the headliner was a solo industrial act and the rest included acoustic sets, jazz, and a drag-wrestling show.
Some venues to keep in mind for independent music: Cattivo, Brillobox, Mr Roboto Project, Black Forge, The Government Center, Spirit, The Rock Room. Check their respective events schedules and you’ll likely find something of interest to you.

Things were much better before covid. I've noticed it seems a lot quieter gig-wise than it was before. I think it's going to take some time before it gets back to normal.

Wait, $4500 a month for rent? In Pittsburgh? That’s insane. No way. Unless you’re super rich, I guess, in which case I’d advise you to buy.
