Like others have said here, you can buy a house with half of that rent in Pittsburgh. Don't even look at anything over 1k.

That sounds sick. I’m so tired of Austin. I’ve been totally priced out and live in the suburbs now, so it takes over an hour on the bus to even get to anything decent to do that’s not a strip mall bar.

Thank god I was at least born in 2000 and got to see a few significantly snowy winters

I never get snow tires. How often does it really snow more than an inch or 2 in Pittsburgh any year? I don't find them necessary.

The drama. It’s an accident. They happen in cities everywhere. It’s not news. Pittsburgh is obsessed with petty incidents as news worthy items.

Oh that’s awesome. I only go to eat there once, but it was very good. Excited it’s coming back.

Why hasn't someone come up with an immersive art thing and food festival combination yet?

extremely active scenes in punk, indie/emo/shoegaze etc, noise/experimental electronic, djs dealing in niche styles, electroacoustic/free improv/"new music." very good metal draw to smaller rooms than the rest of the tour, tho lacking in local acts rn. cromags are playing a church basement in march. there are at least 3 world class jazz ensembles playing somewhere random with no cover every single night.

That’s crazy. I pay 1650 in Bloomfield for 3 bedroom, 2 bath, basement with gym, and attack to two hard room floor living rooms and a back porch and two car garages. Utilities are about 500, so about 2200 a month

The printers have been on strike longer than the journalists- the journalists were doing a byline strike but then became a full blown strike when their brother and sister unions forced a vote on a company wide strike - at least that’s my understanding

We looked into this one, which definitely matched what I think we were looking for, but ultimately I think a place that was a little less... Cramped? Definitely captures that homestyle feeling, but the reviews mentioned that I can get pretty loud and the place is small. Maybe another time.

From my experience, 98.9% of pick up truck drivers, drive like aggressive, entitled assholes. They regard nothing and no one and every time one signals, I nearly faint from the shock. One idiot was aggressively cutting people off when my partner was driving, just being so irresponsible and menacing, on one last attempt to cut my partner off, he lost control of his truck, smashed it into a wall and that was the end of his stupid joyride. At least he only smashed his own vehicle and didn't cause damage or harm to others but he certainly could have.
