I was surprised to see the PSFS building in the photo because I assumed it wasn't nearly that old based on its modern style, but I was wrong. Built in 1932 and (according to an unsourced claim on wikipedia) it is considered the country's first modern skyscraper.

I don't know what the hell it is this time. The main one that's been circling Fairmount/Francisville doesn't show up on any of the flight radar services (which the news choppers do).

This shit is absurd. I had the most godawful day and all I want to do is relax, and I can't because it feels like I live directly under a medevac landing site.

Disclaimer: Pay Wall. Maybe these questions are answered in the article: Where are all these African American businesses in the Fashion District? Why would they be in the stadium when they aren't in the area now? I don't see many in Reading Terminal Market either. What makes this proposed stadium more likely? Will the rent be less? And when will it be ready? Not in a year, so I don't think they even know what vendors will be in it.

I'm sure it exists. I've just never seen something like it at an urban university. I was just in Cambridge for some professional activities at Harvard and MIT. Both seemed to be locked up pretty tight and I needed to register as a guest at both about a week in advance. Both sent me a pass for my phone so I could swipe into the buildings that I needed to be in. I wasn't looking for a food court though.

My parents were teens during the war and would tell me about low flying aircraft doing training.
The Navy had an airfield in the Navy Yard until about 1960. There are still large hangers from the aircraft factory that was open until 1940.
