No I think you’re driving where you should be. I posted this after driving past someone selling turtles at K&A and saw the same thing last week at 34th & Girard

There used to be a turtle trap house somewhere near like 21st and federal that got shut down years ago that apparently supplied most of them, didn't realize they came back.

To my knowledge, they are selling turtles that are not suppose to be sold. Either illegal due to species or size.

Ukrainian league in Fairmount is ideal for just renting a space - I believe you can bring all your own stuff.
Paddywacks on south street is where my wife is doing her 30th, we are doing a food and booze package and people are buying tickets - not everyone would find that appropriate to invite friends and ask them to pay, but we do :) the tickets are cheaper than most would spend on dinner and drinks so it makes sense for us and people have been receptive

Go see Ed Russakoff at Rustic Music just above 10th and Spruce. He is really connected into the local scene. Looks like he only sells guitars though...

Is 9th Street Music (RIP) still in the area? They used to comp you the toll, if you came from Philly, too.
(They moved out from next door of The Troc when the building was flooded, IIRC).

Came here to say this. I don't think I need to drive down to K&A just for the chance to buy a turtle though....
