Someone sent me a tweet that a controlled burn in NJ is blowing smoke northwest, but it was a screenshot of a tweet so I’m def not confirming it’s accuracy.

Angelos and Riccis are close by and much better, of course more expensive too. I always liked Ishkabibble's chicken cheesesteak although I haven't had it in like 10yrs. Roast pork sandwich >>>> cheesesteak IMO so I'm maybe not the best judge.

Holy shit, that sounds terrible. Sorry you went through that, we’re not going back again after hearing that!

Is it common practice to request first, last and deposit (deposit is same amount as the rent) as a certified check and mailed overnight with tracking? This would be my second Philly apartment and for the first everything was online, it was the same real estate company (different agent though) but thinking maybe this is a single property landlord and not as big as the other apartment complex?

How many statements were coerced or completely invented to protect themselves from this monster?
I'm sure the entire time no other officers knew a thing about it and would certainly have stopped it if they had. I mean, it's not like they are detectives with a criminal sharing an office with them.

Nah. $3-4K is quite high end in terms of Philly rental budget, with a much smaller pool of competition.

I worked there for a while, as did many of my friends. They treat you like you are trying to steal from them or get over on them in every interaction. They threatened us physically a lot. They don’t care if your sick in bed or injuried, you have to come in. like way more crazy then any other restaurant I’ve worked. They lie to their workforce when it comes to pay, days off, and are shady af when it comes to payroll. Bands complain all the time that they are offered pay for events and then are offered a few beer tickets at the end of the night instead of agreed upon cash. I still have nightmares from that place.

Yeah that’s the other problem. I’m up before they are open so I go to what’s open and I’m home after they close. On weekends I’ll go to a coffee shop but that again depends on if they are open.

Yeah, even if you're not on wheels but are relying on a cane or crutches or a walking boot they can be really treacherous in places. Nearly wiped out a couple of times last year when I broke my foot.

Lol thanks so much for your tips! The plan is to make the room feel like a jungle. Looks like I'm going on a home improvement adventure this weekend.

Thanks. We're currently in Boston and if you don't have a lease locked down by March for September 1 move in, you're up shit creek over here. Lol. Does there tend to be a lot of competition for rentals in the $3k-$4k range?

I've had a car for over half my life and the thought of not having one is bizarre. I would very likely want to keep it. Very used to living in apartments if that matters.

Not something I thought about much until I started nursing and was exposed to way more people who used wheelchairs/walkers/canes to move. It's really horrendous.
