Right - this is already illegal so calling it a hate crime seems like an attempt to impute a thought crime to someone we don't know anything about.

And frankly, I assume most graffiti is somewhere between 'art' (in someone's eyes) and stupidity/childishness (and not necessarily by a child). These folks should just have to fix it.

My only memory of Genos is going there, looking at their “speak American” sign, then placing an order in English and then then fucking up the order

Really maddening article about the state of sidewalks. Kenney ran on a promise to improve sidewalks and yet did very little on the issue

Particularly moving is a video shot from the perspective of somebody commuting to work at Jefferson hospital via wheelchair - the woman who got paralyzed from a stray bullet at Hancock Park in Fishtown last year. Even little stuff like a hose across the sidewalk left by a construction crew can block the sidewalk for somebody in a wheelchair, and force them to go into the street to get around obstacles

I buy fancy beans and grind them at home and use a pour over and time myself and I still absolutely love a standard hot coffee from dunkin lol

coffee can be really special but decent coffee is still great to me

like I’ve had bad drinks from fancy cafes that are so much worse than a McDonald’s or dunkin cup
