Welcome to liberal America.
The only people who want socialism are the ones who've never experienced it.

buddy, the italian market and pats/genos isn't half as vibrant as it should be because it's clogged with illegal parking and traffic all day. If you had any sense of what an actual vibrant urban neighborhood was like, you would understand that getting people out of their cars and on foot is essential. Just say the truth, it doesn't bother you that it's not nice and your content with it. More than a few people visit those places and go "what the hell? this place is a dump"

Rays happy birthday bar! Laid back, cool crowd and staff and could easily chill in the back room. They don't do any game nights, but karaoke gets a bit crowded...other than that, it's always a chill vibe

So maybe you were trying to encourage a Socratic-method type of critique. That would probably work better if there was some degree of trust among participants. But bc we're all internet strangers, it sounds like sea-lioning.
Your point about her website is a good one. I read about her police audit back when it came out... at the time, I was jazzed about the civilianization aspect bc I assumed it would mean fewer total police officers. But from the language on her website, that may have been a poor conclusion for me to reach. Haha I'm always just looking for scraps where I can find them :(

Well written story, btw, because it contrasts it with another PR firm's relationship with a NJ school district, and how that relationship had a specific incident relationship to hire the firm, at a fraction of the price of the Central Bucks deal.
>Public relations firm Devine + Partners is no longer working for the Central Bucks School District after alleged “targeted harassment” from community members, according to the district.
This means what? People are asking about them specifically at public meetings? (hint: that's probably it, they didn't think this would get public press like it did)

Probably got investigated for tax evasion
Every business in the country has to contend with fees for processing credit card payments, but a disproportionate number of companies in Philly are cash in hand due to the way the city taxes revenue rather than profit

When one of those smaller places makes a caramel iced latte as good as dunkin does, then I'll go there. Plus according to your name, you know that my local dunkin is an experience all in its own! (10th and Reed)

my roommate is like that. she'll get a coffee somewhere and i'll ask how it is and the answer is always "it's fine, coffee is coffee." meanwhile i'm grinding my own locally roasted beans every morning because the extra time and money is absolutely worth it for a good cup of coffee every morning

It’s precisely because there are different ways of ‘seeing things’ that you’re getting downvoted. You can’t tell us to grow up while defending the actions of a group explicitly trying to block others’ viewpoints.

Lmao. I have lived in the city probably decades longer than you. Probably picked up more trash than you ever will. And probably heard more negative reviews of Philly than you have. But sure cool guy, defend an embarrassment like your life depends on it.

Most crimes like this are just stupid. Nothing they do impacts your life, leave other people alone, and find better shit to do.
