Honestly they know their reputation hinges on this i doubt they would sell contaminated water knowing what the consequences may be. Companies like these recall shit all the time for less. If you really think youre gonna get sick drinking bottled water you might as well just kill yourself and save everyone the bitching

I just told you how to change them. If you want to build up density to create a car-free utopia then ban the residents of new buildings from parking on the street or make their parking permits reflect the actual value of parking. It's really that simple. I always see urbanists insisting apartment buildings don't need on-site parking because everybody will take the bus or ride their bikes. If that's really true, then why are they allowed to get parking permits?

Fuel oil and diesel are actually the exact same thing, but two minor, yet key differences:

  • Fuel oil is not taxed for road use and it has red dye in it to indicate if it’s improperly put into vehicles to skirt taxes.

  • Historically, diesel used to have more strict requirements when it came to sulfur content than fuel oil. Fuel oil used to have >=2,000ppm sulfur in it and increasing standards mandated diesel at be low sulfur at 500ppm. Ultra low sulfur diesel then was mandated at 15ppm. At this point, everything is ultra low sulfur.

There is a small pipe above the fill that was probably where a button whistle was, if it ever existed.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole thing is improperly installed. In other words, the button whistle may be the only vent and there may be no associated main vent with weighted cap. Cases like this are very dangerous because the tank can’t vent fast enough while being filled and can lead to tank failure.

Not saying that’s the case here, but the amount of leaking can also be indicative of back pressure from inadequate venting.

People get older and trends change. Much of the Philly that I knew in my 20s is gone, but we all age, drink less, and socialize less as time goes on. Nothing lasts forever no matter how much we want it to. Old haunts can't stay in business on good memories alone. You're not responsible for keeping it alive.

How is it these days? I loved Sugar Mom's back in the day (R.I.P.), but Tattooed Mom's was my other favorite. I haven't been there in nearly a decade since I now live out in West Philly and, well, I'm not 22 and much of a big drinker anymore. I'm curious if the vibe's changed much at all.
