In East Falls tho there's mostly only Billy Murphys. A place Cranky Joes is welcoming, but doesn't get many 'newer' Fallsers. Lebus & others are more restaurants. People from EF don't walk to Manayunk, and really Main St isn't quite the same like it was in the 90s & 2000s in terms of foot traffic. With South Philly, Fishtown & NoLibs etc being the 'in' spots for 20 somethings

Itv is probably fine if in a climate controlled environment.
Leaving it out in a hot car is probably the biggest risk

Come hang out w us at Rays. Very similar demographic you’re looking for especially on weekdays. Not so many events, but always an interesting time.

It was a cool place. So sad it closed so abruptly. I think the plan is to reform/return elsewhere eventually. I know the female co-owner is a Moore School of Art alum. I’m curious what happened especially since they seemed to have weathered the pandemic ok. My favorite place in the area that seems to have a similar vibe (to me at least) is Moonshine on Moyamensing.

I trust that they're working within frameworks they already have. Like when BPA blew up, lots of assurances that it was safe and tons of manufacturers saying their levels were "below allowed," completely sidestepping the issue that the question is: are the allowed levels even safe?
Similarly here, many of these chemicals don't have allowable levels or it's not known if the allowed amount is the right number. So someone certainly can say that the water being tested is passing tests. It's avoiding the question that the tests aren't right.
But ysk that EPA controls for city tap water are MUCH more rigorous than bottled water.

Damn, you switched tone fast.
EDIT: This is a great example of how somebody can be saying things that make sense, but then the person themself is unlikeable, so people turn on them.

Did they say why they were closing so abruptly? I saw their social media post yesterday and was shocked but I didn't want to rub salt in the wound by asking

Florida makes sense for reasons that are obvious. Alabama doesn’t make sense at first but their Gulf coast is SUPER popular especially for college kids. From what I understand, spring break there is as big or bigger than in FL

Imagine living 55 years of your life in a once great city, to watch it deteriorate from within.
Imagine being able to leave your front door open to let a breeze come through your home.
Imagine buying a handyman’s special and fixing it up to be the nicest house on the block because you wanted to retire there.
Imagine being able to take a walk any time of the day or night without having anyone bother you.
Imagine being able to sleep through the night without low flying police helicopters waking you up.
Imagine having two of your cars totaled that were in front of your home and another one stolen.
Imagine on the very last day in your home coming home from work to have a group of high school punks plowing into your shoulder on purpose.
Now:
Imagine hearing a siren 5 times a year and one of those times it’s Santa Claus coming around on a fire engine.
Imagine sleeping through the night with absolutely no outside noise or sirens.
You are correct I do not live in the city anymore I got out while my home was still worth something.
I suggest you do the same

No I totally get that, but it's just the tone switch turns off people to your point.
