Any tips for how to readily find that out?

If he's not current on his payments their insurance would have flat out deny the claim so you at least can rule that out.

Keeping a car they don't need and won't drive is a much worse financial decision than selling it for a loss.

You aren't supposed to but if you do, you always round up. Not to the nearest.

Spend half as much on the car with half the interest rate.

This same company would maybe let me refinance right now with a co-signer as my credit is really good right now

Both but KBB is slow to react to market changes and this has been a very hot sellers market. Call Carvana/CarMax/whatever is in your area and see if anybody wants it.
Just because KBB says $15k doesn't mean that's what you can actually get. Look around and see what a comparable car would cost.

Unless they're collectibles, it's not likely you made any profit. Follow the process in Understanding your Form 1099-k: Personal items sold at a loss.

Our combined AGI precludes us from contributing to a Roth IRA, unfortunately, however, both my spouse and I have Roth contribution options within our employer plans, so we contribute way. We could do a backdoor Roth, however, it's a little complicated in my case to do so, which I won't bore everything with in this thread!

I figured that’s not really a super good option yeah. If I go for another graduate loan it would be from somewhere else, I have a company in my home state that does graduate education loans. I had done a lot of research into it but made the oversight that my loan company while they advertise that they offer deferment for if you go back tk school it has a hidden asterisk that I only found out after through a phone call that it’s for US schools

They were all personal transactions. Just clearing out things from my closet and old game and sports cards. Unfortunately, these are things I've had for decades so it's not like I can go back and see how much I paid for them.

You should find out man. Best to know what you’re paying and why you’re paying it. Managed strategies aren’t bad and can be really successful but you need to know what you’re actually paying for so you can determine if it’s right for you.

Yes yields are always expressed in annual terms

You get 4.83% annual interest rate. If you hold for 180 days, $deposit * 0.0483 / 365 * 180 = $interest. Do not sell TBills before maturity, or you may lose money.
