I was able to get one towed by going on twitter of the NYPD and tagging the mayor and the local council person. You could see on google maps the has been there for at least 6 month with a boot on it!

I’m for diverting some of the subsidies to driving schools for this community. The city would become measurably more safe.

Have you tried apple or Google pay? My vendor doesn’t either but they allowed me to add it to Apple Pay (even though the card itself did not have contactless capabilities).

They don't mention motor vehicles. There's too many goddamn motor vehicles for a place that has banned them.
Police and park employees can walk or ride a bike (from what I see, most of them could use the exercise).

since there is no swipe direction, maybe change the bottom text to "Andrew Cuomo (Governor)". Give it that real vintage laughably out of date appeal.

You could probably build some new freight/distribution center in south Brooklyn somewhere where freight could be offloaded from trains to delivery (not semi) trucks to their final destination

That only solves one destination. You still need places to load/unload to trucks along the line in Brooklyn.

You don’t need to use the IND crosstown line, the bay ridge branch exists just build the cross harbor tunnel

That would only work if freight trains could run on the G line instead of passenger only service.
But as long as the MTA is opposed to sharing right of way, that’s not an alternative.

Indeed, not sure why they’re dragging their feet repairing it.

Using induced demand as an argument against expanding the BQE, only means you’re also against building more housing because it attracts more residents.

• Change the stop lights to something that warns of oncoming or crossing traffic, like flashing lights and signs. Traditional STOP/GO systems don’t work well for intermittent traffic (is any cyclist or ped really gonna wait on a red while there’s no immediate cross traffic?). Instead, go for visibility and awareness, and people’s desire to not collide with one another will prevail.
• Increase the amount of two-way lanes for non-ped traffic. It’s crazy that the 72nd St transverse is the only place with bike lanes going in both directions, though I understand this is probably a holdover from when cars were on the Drive. Maybe some kind of flex lane in certain areas, where one direction of traffic has priority.
• Create a system that uses the language of speed and direction, rather than means of locomotion. In other worlds, group like with like according to where and how fast they’re going.

Yeah I literally have no clue. I feel like that’s an easy question for a structural engineer or likely someone better at high school physics than my dumb ass

I doubt it’s making a noticeable difference, like you said, 18 wheelers are just sitting in stop and go traffic on the cantilever section way more than they did when it was 3 lanes. Atleast they used to only be on it for a brief period of time (barring any accident of construction).

This is true, but it used to be fairly clear after 7 or 8pm, now theres always some sort of traffic in the reduced lane section, regardless of the time of day/night.
