How are pharmaceutical companies responsible for the opioid crisis? Do they forcibly make people ingest opioids? The people who abuse opioids are responsible for the opioid crisis. It just easier to blame some faceless big evil corporation.

I had back surgery and nerve damage that caused excruciating pain recently and was prescribed opioids and I am not addicted in the slightest.

I support bodily autonomy and would not deny a woman that. I would never force a woman who was raped to carry a child to term. If a woman freely engages in intercourse knowing she could conceive forfeits her bodily autonomy by consenting to sex. Saying a woman can’t kill her offspring that the openly produced is like saying forcing a man who had consensual sex to pay child support is slavery. It’s a ridiculous argument.

Huh, I live in Perth (Australia) and there were enough references in the article to things from Perth (Australia) to not make an obvious link to Scotland:

  • There's a Museum of Perth
  • There's a suburb named Kinross (I thought it strange this lone suburb was singled out for mention). I didn't think the suburb of Kinross had particularly deep and ancient roots though.
  • There's a George Street in Perth (WA)

I suppose the name of the news site should have been a give away.
