It is a bit much. I know a Karen and she's a great person but her life has changed over the past few years. Her name has become a real bane to her, and it's weird to me that is her new reality.

To me, "Karen" has just become a PC way of calling a woman a bitch...people say "look at this Karen" and things like that. It's so obviously just a substitute word that has become socially acceptable, because people love running jokes into the ground.

Holy fuck all. This is a textbook case of generalizing the results. They never say the tattoo will disappear. They simply say it will will fade. ALL TATTOOS FADE. This is the problem. I don’t WANT my tattoo to fade, it’s a sleeve. Fading means blending, and if it weren’t for my artist being forward thinking making my outline thicker,my tattoos would be shitty looking blended messes by now. This marketing campaign is nothing more than a play on words in legalese.your tattoo WILL fail. But it will still be visible for many years

The question is, which did you pay for? A faded tattoo or a tattoo that isn’t visible in 2-3 years?

Viability is a good indicator. While there are obviously outliers, there's a clearly defined moment at around the ~23-24th week of pregnancy where the fetus becomes very likely to survive outside of the womb. After the 25th week, it's almost guaranteed.

Before this moment, it's fully dependent on its mother to survive, and abortion is just that - abortion, and there's nothing wrong with it, the fetus is just a part of the woman's body, over which she should have complete control.

But later, it's killing someone who could have lived. You could end pregnancy and still have a living person, even if they'll need a few more months in an incubator. I find this a lot more controversial, although I'll refrain from making any judgements - every case is different. Nevertheless, there is an objective distinction.

And the law agrees almost all around the western world. Nearly all European countries ban abortion after the 20th week, and just about every US state used to have a limit at 25-30 weeks before the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Hey, thanks for sharing! More from the author:

"The drug lord illegally imported hippopotamuses to his Hacienda Nápoles ranch, about 125 miles away from Bogotá, in the 1980s. When he was fatally shot in 1993, four hippos were left at the ranch.

"Decades on, however, environmental authorities estimate that there are now about 130 hippos in the area, with the group having rapidly reproduced and spread beyond the confines of the ranch, CBS News reported.

"Authorities fear that the number of hippos could reach 400 within eight years, with the animals multiplying fast because of a lack of natural predators, favorable weather conditions, and ample food and water, CBS News said.

"The newly proposed plan would involve sending at least 60 hippos to Gujarat in India and another 10 to zoos and sanctuaries in Mexico.

"It focuses on the animals living outside the ranch because those inside live in a controlled environment and don't threaten the local ecosystem, CBS News said."
