My guess is the airline didn't have a process to approve landing at another airport.

Landing fees, storage, maintenance, and next flights on the schedule would all have been affected.

Plane probably usually flies back and forth already.

An admin looked at the schedule and realised they had to cancel the return flight already. They don't need the plane there it'll fly back empty.

Then there's the cost of landing at a different airport and unloading passengers, luggage etc. transporting them all onwards to the right place.

It's not difficult to see that to return the plane and passengers to their departure lounge and cancel the outgoing flight too was the cheapest option.

They had crates full of the things left over after WWII because they were made in expectation of an invasion of the Japanese home islands. Naturally the invasion didn't end up happening, so they were just left with a whole bunch of medals and no one to give them to.

I think they're still using those medals to this day. If that's how many they have, I'm not surprised they hand them out like candy.

But not a real one, right? The Purple Heart is a military medal.

> The Purple Heart is awarded in the name of the President of the United States to any member of the Armed Forces of the United States who, while serving under competent authority in any capacity with one of the U.S. Armed Services after 5 April 1917, has been wounded or killed.

Did these chuds go down to the local trophy shop, and and have the Little League trophy guy steal some valor for them?

Putin depends on help from leaders he can bribe. He helped Trump with funding through the NRA and via hacking the DNC emails for Trump. Trump repaid him by trying to weaken NATO and talk positive about Putin. Putin helped Boris with advertising and misinformation on facebook. He's probably expecting Boris to help him back.

Roger Waters supported Putin in front of the UN. How much did he get from Putin? We'll probably never know.
