When you see the cost and availability of those transformers, you realize that this isn't just petty vandalism.

Reply to comment by Van_GOOOOOUGH in Pakistan: PIA orders cabin crew to wear undergarments in bizarre circular by witwacky
Copy paste for you as you don't want to click
> In the issued circular, it has also been said by the PIA that both men and women should wear clothes according to the cultural and national environment of Pakistan
> Karachi: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has issued a unique decree for its crew members. According to Pakistani media reports, the PIA management has ordered that cabin crew members must wear undergarments while on duty.
> Poor dressing by members of the cabin crew is reportedly tarnishing the image of the PIA.
> In the issued circular, it has also been said by the PIA that both men and women should wear clothes according to the cultural and national environment of Pakistan. The PIA, which is operated by the government of Pakistan, has asked the crew members to strictly follow the rules.
> In a circular issued by PIA General Manager (Flight Services) Amir Bashir on September 26, it was claimed that some cabin crew members dress casually while on duty.
> “It has been observed with great concern that a few cabin crew tend to dress casually while travelling intercity, staying in hotels, and visiting various suffices. Such dressing leaves a poor impression on the viewer and portrays a negative image of not only the individual but also of the organisation,” the PIA circular said.
> Not surprisingly, the diktat was massively criticised from several quarters, terming it as “inappropriate.” The national carrier immediately withdrew the bulletin, due to the backlash it received, Geo News reported.
> Barely 24 hours later, the airline, in an attempt to downplay the incident, came out with a carefully-worded clarification.
> “Despite the fact that the spirit behind the advisory was to ensure proper dress code, however, the standard bulletin, inadvertently, came out with an inappropriate selection of words,” PIA’s Chief HR Officer said in a written clarification.
> “I personally feel regretful and am fully convinced that the words could have been more civilised and appropriate in this context instead of words published, which, unfortunately, are being trolled and twisted towards the defamation of the company,” he added.
> In an earlier incident, the PIA had hogged some unwanted limelight when a passenger created a ruckus on a flight traveling from Peshawar to Dubai. During the September 14 flight, a passenger had kicked at the windows of the plane and had also punched the seats. When an attempt was made to stop him, he had also misbehaved with the flight staff.

That's ok, because Australia has an excellent human rights record. Especially in our prisons and detention centres. Definitely no torture at all. Oh wait...

Local governments would much MUCH rather have voluntary compliance than face a litigated code violation.
These notice letters have contact information for code enforcement on them.
Now if the homeowner had called and was denied an extension then this would be the outrageous story the headline makes it out to be.

I mean is anyone honestly surprised? Republicans have been saying, subtly and not so subtly, that profits are more important than people for decades now.

The reason why we pay them so much is that is harder to bribe them who is easier to bribe an avrage Joe or a millionaire. With that you filter out the smaller group that would want to bribe their poletician and only leave massive lobbys.

Nonsense.
Stupid evil is still evil. Banal evil is still evil.
The most common form of evil is precisely the kind of evil you are stating here, the kind where common, ordinary people stop thinking critically and allow evil masterminds to dictate their thoughts and actions to hurt other common, ordinary people.
It doesn't matter one iota that they were "manipulated", their actions were evil and caused harm to innocents, and therefore their persons are also evil.
"I just followed orders" is not an excuse, it's damning evidence.

Female predators are not nearly as common though.
Men are the primary sexual predators against other men, women, trans and genderqueer people, as well as minors.
It’s not even close.

I went to college with this chud and was forced to spend more time with him than I care to recall. I’m not shocked that he’s still this much of an idiot, but I’m absolutely appalled that he managed to get elected to any office at all.

I think that's the greatest safety risk to the doggos. But can you imagine have a dog's sense of smell and having the wind blast through your nostrils at 45 mph? What a rush.

I find it very ironic that he is pro-life and also apparently pro-child abuse fatality for the sake of saving tax dollars on welfare programs. What a fucking idiot. But even dumber, anyone who has voted for him and anyone who does in the future.

I imagine it would be easy to find a story where someone had dates set for construction that wasn't within the time limit, so a city kicked them out and made them homeless, right?
