Reply to comment by blahbleh112233 in Jane Fonda agrees to attend Vienna Opera Ball with Austrian tycoon for 'quite a bit of money' by nimobo
This guy invites a famous person to the ball every year and pays them a fee to do so. The only news is that it’s Jane Fonda this year, everything else is not.

I'm sure that the man in the wheelchair is glad that you've now told him how to feel.
Come on, you've gotta recognize the irony of you failing to listen to his message, on an article about how they failed to consider him.

The US envoy to Afghanistan being so self absorbed in whatever batshittery is going on in the US that week seems right on trend for their relationship with Afghanistan tbh

Yeah, Reading (pronounced “Red-ing”) is the name of the town so it can be a little confusing. I was going to change the title so it makes a bit more sense for non-locals but the sub rules said it must be the exact headline!

Well, I'm tired of having a bad reputation for lurking online.
But I have a feeling that's my fault, and his problem is his.

Funny, that. Cause your opinion that this was merely a political stunt is a thoroughly reactionary one.

I’m sure the people of Afghanistan will be desperately calling for this apology, right after they receive the one for the US invasion that replaced the taliban with the tailban.

What in the world are you talking about? The business is named multiple times in the article.

What they actually need is "black ops magic". Nothing would do more for women's rights in Afghanistan than whacking Taliban leaders.
