Theory, they aren’t human now, but maybe they were, an alternate reality where this “third party” took over and forced them to be “mimics”, they are humans, always were but that third party, the one making the mirrors, are the ones that aren’t human, and because these other humans are not of use anymore, they are using the mirrors to get fresh workers, only to be replaced again when these humans aren’t of use anymore

Yeah it’s strange that when he was in the room no one was there but then he went through and turned around it came out. He said it doesn’t like being noticed so I’m thinking it won’t be in the open and copy you because that’s obvious but then does it hate killing and kills only when necessary.

If you rarely hear Dr. Lee cry for help then maybe he’s been captured and forced to say these things but when the other creatures are gone he asks for help trying not to get caught. That would fall in line with the voice on the mountain and how he asked for help then told you to run implying danger( the other creatures showed up) and he got caught and that’s why you never heard from him again?
