Haha, nah I don't think I ever attempted to sing in his presence (and his spirit is probably still thanking me). One time he left a sung message on my answering machine - does the reverse count? My username was a rushed and poorly thought-out choice that I promptly regretted. I'd already used up all my good usernames over the years here - including daisy_glaze - and was probably listening to that Replacements song when I made the account. Or maybe this really happened. :)

Anyway, great to meet a fellow fan! Alex was absolutely amazing on so many levels...

Maybe it's something to do with an innocent child asking mercy from the "mother with the empty womb". A child belonging to a woman who is cursed by the witch/mother. The witch, via the curse, is a part of you, and was part of your husband. Therefore, the witch is in essence part of your child, as well. Maybe the witch feels a connection to your little girl. Perhaps, even, a relationship of sorts. Could it be that the connection is possibly thawing your/their frozen heart?

I'm not great at reasoning things out. But I feel like the witch feels some sort of kinship(?) to both you and your daughter. Honestly, I think you should strongly consider at least trying to talk to her. It's simplistic, I guess, but as someone unable to have children, i cant help but wonder if her cold empty mother heart might respond to some love or kindness.

Don't trust him right away, he's a vampire, he's probably supernaturally charming, etc. But who cares about that, the point to take away from all this is "You can live every girl and gay's dream... and bone that vampire if you play your cards right."

Really hoping the "you'll be dead in a year" means you're gonna be a vampire, babe! And not just dead-dead instead. I think the only way to keep the motel going and every weird guest under control indefinitely is to just be immortal anyway. You asked who would take that seat when your gone, and who better than you (again).
