I could see that but my thought process is that it's tracking you via the phone so if you destroy it you may be able to hide without saying yes I can hide

i don’t think destroying the phone helps, considering Lee heard the creaks before he made a choice

There's something about it that bothers me though... It doesn't ask if you WILL hide, or if you WANT to hide, it asks if you CAN. Maybe saying "no" is informing someone who shouldn't be informed...
