Yeah, but that's just a gas explosion. Boilers are heavy pressure vessels. The burner could blow out and cause an explosion destroying the building, leaving the boiler tank sitting on its stand (less some insulation). Boiler explosions are a whole different thing - a (typically structurally-compromised) tank explodes due to reaching its pressure limit.

organic powders like wheat dust, plastic dust, and sweeteners can all explode if blow into the air, even a static spark can ignite it. boilers that aren't maintained or malfunctioning, ammonia systems used for refrigeration and process chillers. the list is quite long for pretty much any manufacturing facility especially food manufacturing.

The weather-cam footage looked a bit flamey. I don't think it was steam.

Maybe just me, but it seems like the headline should include the words ‘bodies of’.
They are victims even if they were buried under the rubble with just a broken bone.

Reply to comment by Artanthos in Police Captain Criminally Charged 1 Day after Retirement by JustZonesing
Nope, I would just expect a person, regardless of their profession, would go to trial and defend themselves against a criminal accusation. If that person is found guilty, go from there.
All that I’m expecting is for this person to get treated like any other. And if this is being treated as a criminal investigation, that means that a crime has been suspected. This person possibly chose to act outside of legal areas in sharing that info. That info could have been used to harm others. Who knows what it was shared for, but it was deemed inappropriate enough to raise a criminal investigation.
A god-damned police captain shouldn’t be playing cute games. But let’s see what the investigation has to say, and what a trial in front of a jury of his peers would find.
That’s all that I want, no more people above the law.

Nah bullshit. I created a new Twitter account only for the purpose of following 2 people that have no relation to politics. Twitter now shows me tons of right wing propagandists. That’s basically the only thing I would see, even after I continuously note that I’m not interested in tweets like that. Off your knees.

If you're going to strike anywhay, consider putting up some more demands to improve the nature of your country. I can think of a couple things that could use a change.

Hate to say it, but Biden doesn't use the best method for his picks. If he would look at qualifications first and only, instead of insisting on this kind of silly pandering: https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/26/biden-pledged-to-nominate-a-black-woman-to-scotus5-who-could-be-up-for-the-job.html
