There is also a debate about the possibility of a gas leak from what I read earlier. The next building over in the factory complex had people who reported smelling gas all day, but the gas company claims that no report was made. The gas company did respond early in the resulting fire from the explosion to help shut off gas to the area to prevent further explosions. Time will tell what the cause was.

The raising of the retirement age was just the spark in France. That isn't why French youth are uprising. It's because of income inequality and the massive bullshit that's been rained down on workers in every way possible. These protests are linked, and I hope they fucking spread.

I could be wrong, but wasn't their main problem not that they invested a lot of their money in long term bonds and couldn't afford to wait for them to mature?
