And not just the states surrounding them.

Most guns recovered from crime scenes in NYC, for instance, come from VA, GA, and FL. I-95 is just one of several Iron Pipelines in the US.

And then the US as a whole becomes the same for the rest of North America. 3 out of 4 guns found at crime scenes in Canada came from the US. 2 out of 3 guns found at crime scenes in Mexico came from the US. Almost all the border crossing gun smugglers are Americans as well.

The issue can often be detection as well. Our blowdown line (the line that pumps non-radioactive water from our cooling lake which we use as a dilution source for our liquid releases) releases ~25,000 gpm through a 4 foot wide concrete pipe. We release at most 20 gpm of heavily diluted waste water into this 25k gpm which then further dilutes in the river we make up/letdown to which has flows between 450,000 to 9,000,000 gpm.

The problem is detecting a 1-2 gpm leak through the pipe into the ground when you're pumping tens of thousands of gallons per minute.

Supply and demand still applies and now you’ve created a situation where people can’t rent if they want to, so now you are locking people into an area/home

Realtors would love your idea but wow that’s a huge expense you’ve added to people that move around a lot

The problem in The U.S. is that we severely restrict high density housing that would makes houses/rentals more affordable

Rent control would only further reduce new apartment/ housing construction, who is going to take the huge expenses and risk to build new housing when they can’t make any money from it
