Getting access to mental healthcare is only a piece of it though. Recognizing that somebody needs to get that mental healthcare is possibly even more difficult. Rarely do I ever hear about any of these shooters having histories of attempting to get mental healthcare but being unable to.

Any parent who would take enjoyment from humiliating their child like this doesn't care how much he was suffering. Their goal is to cause suffering.

Without a path to remove weapons from society (not saying this is the answer) we need to come together to figure out how we can make mental health more accessible. People who do these things are suffering from some sort of disorder and help should be easier to get than a gun.

Since coming to Alabama for school I haven't heard a single tornado siren before 4 PM. Oddly last spring I am almost certain they were all on Tuesdays or Thrusdays between 4 and 6 pm, as I was always in the same class.

Its actually the sand that causes the problems with the basements as the very very random patch's of it in the state means digging a hole in the ground is a gamble if it will collapse or not.

I think it's more "people vote against this for other people, but once it's happening to them expect help"

I attended a talk he gave here (15?) Or so years ago. He went over the movie events, admitted to how much of it was fiction (a substantial amount) , also gave more details into some of the events as well from his perspective.
I did find it very informative, and a lot more humble than I expected. However when he finished with a question/answers period there were some Rwandans in the audience who were present for the genocide who had a lot of questions for him. He refused to answer any of them and walked out.

I'm glad to hear that he was found safe. But knowing the system, he will be turned over to his abusive parents so they can punish him yet again.
The photo of him wearing the humiliation shirt that they forced on him will be on the internet forever, making him relive this moment again & again throughout his life.
These parents should suffer some sort of legal consequences for their actions.
