They very well could have alternative schools but that does not mean if alternative schools have the resources to students, and what I have seen is that many alternative schools could be 8 to 10 times the cost, meaning the district would have to cover that student at that price with parental approval for the student to be transferred. So if the parent has been involved and been a roadblock every which way the school can't do anything besides keep them in district.

> Who wants to eat microwaved food every single day or beens and rice and Ramen?

One of the points of my post was that they don't have to. There are lots of tasty and nutritious recipes that can be cooked on a single hot plate, rice cooker, crock pot, etc. Many dishes are no cook, just prepping/mixing ingredients.

>If delivery is working for you, and you're paying in your circumstances then do that.

Paying $6000-7000 per year for delivery food is crazy. Being able to afford that suggests they aren't poor, just unwilling to out forth effort toward their diet.

>call you lazy for not taking the solutions they themselves don't have to implement in their own lives.

Your assumptions are completely wrong. I used to barely scrape by too, and have walked this walk. OP could easily cut their food budget in half and use it to afford a better apartment, career training, job searching, transportation, etc - and eat a healthier diet at the same time. Eating delivery food isn't very healthy, and it's wayyy more expensive. Even having groceries delivered would be cheaper and healthier. Delivery food is just convenient.

Why so angry. I hate Trudeau like most but when authorities are saying there's not enough evidence and it's all speculation and rumors you have to question where all this is coming from. People need to stop idolizing politicians. They aren't in it for the people they are only in it for themselves. The system needs to change.

Curious, why doesn't Denver schools have an alternative school in-district?

My much smaller school district had an alternative school so they didn't expell them, they just moved to self-paced alternative schools. They can go there to continuation high schools voluntarily or the day schools non-voluntarily. We have both. Day schools are for behavioral and attendance issues.

One of our continuation schools has a full preschool program for free for students and takes babies 6+ weeks, so kids can finish their high school at an accelerated pace or catch up and get daycare. Have a diploma, not a GED. Totally free. They even hold parenting classes. If you enroll your child there one class per day is in there learning parenting skills.

They also have a at-risk student school for habitually truant/ violent students who didn't or won't divert into continuation schools and an online school platform for kids who are sick or dealing with other issues and can't attend on campus. You can also get shoved there pending explusion and movement into alternative programs.

Like, why wouldn't Denver have alternative programs? It costs the district here, not their original school. The state gives extra funding for it, even.

My city is smaller than Denver, too.

The problem with the WE Charity thing is that most people didn't really understand the implications. When I talked with some friends/coworkers about it they were like "just politicians arguing about tax dollars, what else is new". That's the perception the average Canadian seemed to have.

This is different however. People who barely pay attention to politics are throwing the word "treason" around.

We need a public inquiry into China's influence campaign, in particular China's attempts to make inroads in Canadian politics to undermine our democracy. Our democratic institutions are under assault by a foreign adversary.

  • Late last year, it was reported that CSIS warned Prime Minister Trudeau about China covertly funding 2019 election campaigns.^[1]

  • CSIS documents revealed a sophisticated strategy by China to interfere in our 2021 election with the expressed goal of removing politicians that were seen as anti-China, aiding in the selection of politicians that were seen as sympathetic to the Chinese communist regime, and wanting a Liberal minority government with the intention of our parliament being debilitated with in-fighting.^[2]

  • It should be noted that in 2016 Trudeau attended an exclusive Liberal party fundraising dinner. Those in attendance included Chinese billionaires and senior Chinese state officials seeking approval for a bank. These Chinese officials had exclusive access to our Prime Minister.^[3]

  • Two weeks after the fundraising dinner in 2016, Chinese philanthropists gave $200,000 to the Trudeau Foundation.^[4] At the time Prime Minister Trudeau defended the fundraiser as an effort to attract investment from China. The Trudeau Foundation has recently returned the donation 7 years later due to the alleged ties to China.^[5]

If it was the conservative party in the hot seat for this I guarantee you don't make this comment.

The liberals got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and doubled down. But sure, let's all look away and focus on the crazy right wing people that probably make up less than 5% of the population.

Let us know when you're ready to get daddy JTs dick out of your mouth.
