Their salary schedule is incredibly complicated to read, but nonetheless, the beginning salary there is 56K for a first year teacher, and that’s actually pretty low for a California. My district pays more than that for non-credentialed interns. Starting salary in my middle of nowhere district is 65K.

This is a terrible take. Police incompetence/laziness is an enormous problem, and accounts for most of the biggest problems we see with police organizations. Like, Police malice is a really big problem. But it pales in comparison to the incompetence and apathy many organizations exhibit. If you're a True Crime fan, you know how bad and rampant the incompetence can get.

Something tells me you'll just find guys who are smarter about beating their wives. It takes a certain controlling personality to even want to be a cop in the first place.

Nope. I am not a teacher nor do I care about my spelling or grammar on Reddit.

You have summers unemployed.
And those 2 to 2.5 months are spent by most of us taking coursework, working off-contract to prepare for the school year, and working part-time, seasonal jobs because our regular salary is shit.
If you are lucky enough that your regular salary allows you to truly "take the summer off" . . . you do not represent most teachers, or definitely support staff.

You know they only used novices in the first couple of seasons right? Almost every contestant is a sous chef, an executive chef, or just graduated from an acclaimed culinary school.

Because real life isn’t call of doody where you kick your feet up on the presidents desk after he brought you out of retirement for one final job
If you kill a civilian in a war zone even accidentally you can be facing decades in prison. This is something those Russian apologists and whataboutism masters seem to forget every time they bring up the US invading Iraq. Oh, and military prisons don’t let you serve part of your sentence last I heard too

We do have summer off.
My contract literally ends a day after finals and I don’t have to do anything till next school year.
If I teach over the summer it is for extra pay.
Idk how support staff is paid but my pay and work are not for a full year.

Teachers and support staff deserve to be paid less because they have the "summers off"?
With that bullshit, I hope you aren't a teacher.

>For one this is not about teachers
Who said it was? My comment directly states it’s about classified workers. Teachers are striking alongside them to show support. Second, not all of them are part time. These are some of the hardest working people I have had the honor of working alongside.
Sorry you are so bitter against working people. A very quick glance at your post history tells me you may want to spend a little less time obsessing over meme stocks and a little more time in self-reflection.

Our support staff need a desperate raise. They keep the schools running. I'm a teacher and I'm 100% dependent on them.

Hells kitchen is what happens when you get a bunch of Denny's line cooks together thinking they are more than the sum of their skills.

Probably, yeah, because malicious people aren't that common. Most people fuck-up out of laziness or genuine incompetence; most people are not trying to deliberately hurt other people. They hurt people with massive incompetence and apathy.
