They'd probably join in while they're on the clock. Not like anybody's out there making sure they actually patrol their section or whatever.
Detectives probably have even less scrutiny, because by the nature of the job they could be anywhere in the city checking something out.

Violence is what won him the election in 2016, and nearly again in 2020, so I'm still slightly worried.
That is to say that his violent nature is what did so.

Republicans one the popular vote once in the last 20 years. It was George Bush right after 9/11, which Bush exploited to drag the country to war and murder hundreds of thousands of completely unrelated civilians.
Lots of money to be made in imperialism after all.

The state's national guards might actually not be backstabbed by co-conspirators this time, and might actually be able to do their damn jobs.

Just did a quick search and it does seem polyquad is a good safe preservative. What's annoying is it's in glaucoma drops outside the US, while most here use BAK. Like why can't the companies just do a quick trial using a different preservative and just reformulate it with that one change? BAK honestly should not be in any eye drops since safer and just as effective alternative preservatives exist. Even more bs is Travaton brand uses Sofvia, but the generic uses BAK. One is 300 bucks, one is 10. Such damn bs.

- Send half of population to die in Ukraine.
- Send other half to gulag.
- Rule over empty country for the few remaining years he has left.
How is this bad plan?

There may be some uncertainty about how many bodies there are in total (vs how many weren't there at the time, and how many were there unexpectedly), if falling debris has mixed them up.

I use Alcon Tears Naturale II for my chronic dry eye (caused by lasik I got 25 years ago). They advertise the fact that it contains polyquad as "a preservative with a better safety profile". Hopefully that's true.

Ya it's confusing. I mean during natural disasters "missing" makes sense because bodies could be anywhere, and people may still be alive. I just don't know why they don't say "7 found dead in fire, names will be released pending identification and notification to the next of kin".

They often use the term "missing" until the identities of any bodies can be determined, which might be tough to do.

People don't go missing in a fire, either they weren't there at the time, or they are now a crispy critter.

They’re basically the modern SS. Right down to not getting along well with the regulars and basically stealing supplies from each other.

Exactly. They've really just been trying to figure out how and what they can charge him with that won't blowback on the established political leadership of the party. They have their hands in too much of what Trump did for him to ever face prosecution for any of it, but prosecution for this has no way of bouncing back on anybody important with the party and take's the need to deal with him off their plate as it ends his political career. At least that's what they're likely hoping for.

basically entering 1984's Thought Crimes territory. Russia has gone full circle back into Stalinism, but it will be called Putinism by historians, even the constant at war or under siege mentality is the same.
