I don't mind EWR at all, but this was a major oversight to not connect the AirTrain to new Terminal A. And I don't know what airports you are talking about, but none of the ones I have been to have TSA as soon as you walk in.

Nah. Moronic drivers come from everywhere.

It seems local drivers tend to blame anyone who hasn't memorized every bend and pothole in a local road. As if it were common knowledge.

Put those same people one town over and they'd be making the same mistakes.

And.... every supermarket parking lot is a disaster.

Gas stations in NJ are a great example that giving people a wage WOULD NOT necessarily mean a big price increase for the customers. I go to another state a lot, where the gas stations don't have attendants, and the gas prices there are the same or higher than those back home in NJ. I am not saving money by losing the gas attendants' service.

We need the water to counter drought. Our landscape needs both the cold and the added water. Lack of hard freeze means more weeds and mosquitoes/bugs.

The places we are in are shaped by the climate patterns. We have crops that are popular here because of that pattern. We have plants and animals that depend on it.

Too many humans forget we are part of the environment, not just the concrete and steel.

You’re actually proving the point that order price is irrelevant to the specific job for the driver. If I ordered 20 burgers and 10 fountain drinks off a fast food dollar menu, you’re looking at a $30 order which would generate a $6 tip at a 20% rate for something you just said would be extremely burdensome for the driver. Meanwhile, a different driver would get a $20 tip for driving a single bag of expensive sushi (a hypothetical $100 order of 5 speciality sushi rolls). That’s what makes no sense.

Oh I know, the bus route looks like spaghetti.

I really hope that will be addressed when the new terminal Two gets built (even with just a bus-only connection) but knowing how they’re proposing connecting the new Airtrain with old B/C (1.5 mile long passageways), it’s clear that people not arriving via taxi are basically ignored.

And the AirTrain won’t even extend to the employee parking area, for the people who go to the airport every single day.

Fun fact: They didnt build a connection between the new terminal toad and the old one, so the bus basically goes to A, then leaves the airport, loops around, and enters again to reach B

Pro tip:

Until the AirTrain replacement, if you’re coming to EWR via transit, use the NJTransit #62 bus from either Elizabeth or Newark Penn train stations, or the #go28 from Newark Broad St.

They stop at all terminals (right outside), operate basically 24/7, and are cheaper than the access fee that Port Authority charges to Airtrain users.

And they’re faster to the terminals than the train + Airtrain + shuttle bus/walk combo.

It’s my opinion that the NEC heavy rail line should go directly under the airport terminal area (like any modern airport in Europe), or at least extend the PATH (both of these options were disincentivized until recently by federal policy), but until then, this is what we’ve got.

But hey, at least they touted the wide arrival/departure car lanes, that’s totally an easy and spatially compact way for thousands of people to arrive. /s
