The landlord has to repaint the apartment after every tenant, there should be no charge for that specifically.
Regardless of deductions, it should have been returned in 30 days. People here aren’t lawyers, and this is not the place to ask these kinds of questions.

Funny was going to recommend both Morristown and Princeton. But saw that OP really liked JC. I like North Jersey because there is more outdoor related stuff going on. More mountains. Closer to NYC.

That’s actually false. Landlord in nj have 30 days to return the deposit minus the deductions. In New York the landlord wouldn’t be able to deduct anything after 75 days.

My cousins transplanted about 6 months ago and they’re both still rocking NY plates.

My opinion is the NY Throughway is the best to get. No fees and only NY EZ Passes get discounts at all MTA bridges.

don't hate the player hate the game. Car dependency is the problem. You can't build your way out of traffic and car infrastructure is not financially sustainable. Meaning those guys in NY who can't drive are subsidizing your suburbia through their taxes.

Every NY plate on the parkway that’s actually going fast in the passing lane is driving like a dickwad. Yes we have our own unspoken laws about the parkway and some of us want to pass but do it in a safe manner.

The incentive is that they no longer have to go on your property to get a meter reading.

Yeah, that’s because the snowbirds we’re sending you are just 90% old people. Of course they’re gonna suck at driving, they’re someone’s 86 year old Italian grandfather driving an ancient Cadillac.

I agree. I said share one car for living in Asbury/Montclair/Morristown. For some reason the formatting of my comment came out weird.

You can’t really do AP, without a car. I live in the area. Sure, you could pull off doing most of your daily errands without a car, and depending on where you live, you could walk to the train. But you wouldn’t be able to even walk to a proper grocery store, and you certainly couldn’t walk to most doctor’s appointments and all that. It also sounds much further than the city than they want to be.

That’s funny because in New York whenever someone is driving like a moron they have New Jersey plates.
