Railways are FRA regulated. The state has no say in it and they explicitly stated they are exempt from a lot of environmental oversight because it's federal territory.

Also there have been 3 railway incidents in south Jersey the past 5 years. They just don't reach the level of attention Ohio did. Also that "training" is Ops and Awareness. It's a joke lol. All HAZMAT ER is done by a CEHA agency or the DEP for the most part (EPA will give assistance when requested.)

Credit unions are owned by the members (customers) of the credit union, and are not-for-profit. I’m a member of a credit union. I pay no fees for my bank accounts, and get (somewhat) not-insignificant dividends for both my checking and savings. Also, my mortgage is through the credit union, and was a MUCH better deal than any other banks in the area could provide (mortgage brokers regularly refer people to the credit union I use for refi’s). Also, they have pretty competitive CD promotions from time to time.

I will never go back to BoA.

The one in Hanover is wack. Simply because returning anything there seems to be impossible. At least it was for a while. I went in to return something last year and the woman was like, Nope. Customer service is closed. So I said, I can't make a return at all today? So when? And she was like idk but not today (mind you it was a Saturday or Sunday). Said whatever and went to check out and I asked the cashier if they could do a return by any chance. The answer was yes they can, and they did. No big deal, shit happens maybe a bunch of people called out and so they didn't have staff door customer service. Fast forward to the next several times I've gone there, I've overheard the same exact scenario play out with people with far less patience than I have unfortunately. That and I've been there so many times where the self-checkout line wraps all the way to the wall and up that aisle because there's maybe 1 cashier open.

Riverdale - I guess it's okay for what it is. Seems to be in better condition than the other NJ Walmarts I've been in, but that's not really a very high bar. The only time I go there is if I have an immediate need for something specific that I can't get somewhere else.

So why a credit union?

The funny thing is I have 9 guys managing my portfolio but some of them use credit unions and not BOA/Merrill where I'm invested at.

I should probably ask them but just wondering why you're going that route?
