Bordentown has a quaint little one. Use used to have a larger one that was very musty smelling, and a bit of a fire trap.

You can definitely go to Rockaway and Morristown in one day — Old Book Shop in Morristown is really great.

Hyper localized schools is how New Jersey achieved creating one of the most segregated school systems in the country. The high taxes tied to each district creates a paywall that disadvantages poor people and people of color who have been historically excluded from "nicer" towns and the accompanying schools.
If you really want to see consolidation, be prepared to be greeted with a lot of "not in my back yard" squealing when people realize that "those kids" will now be mingling with "my kids."
There's no way to consolidate without facing this problem. If you were to consolidate 6 districts into 1, with 2 of those districts being much poorer towns, how do you think the 4 wealthier towns would react? If they were to attempt to create a system that favored one town over the other, they would easily lose civil rights law suits for discrimination. Do you really think Ocean and Wall would want to deal with Neptune and Asbury? Do you see Robbinsville, Hamilton, Trenton, Lawrence, and Princeton working well together?
Don't get me wrong, I think consolidation is a good idea... I just think it's so unlikely that it's safe to say impossible. People who live on the right side of the tracks enjoy our segregated school system and they wouldn't want to give it up.

Booktrader of Hamilton in Hamilton Twp. Just be careful of the step down right after you come in the back door. I took a nasty tumble and ended up in a boot! Hasn’t stopped me from going back!

Favorite is Route 29 from Trenton to Frenchtown.
(The PA side is better though and I would argue one of the nicest drives in the East), basically it hugs the river more than 29 does.
Worst - I second Route 22 in Union. I still want to see a movie with an evil villain who then forces his nemesis to walk across it at rush hour, and seeing the protagonist as scared as if they were walking the plank.

Old Bookshop of Bordentown. The owner, Doug, is super nice. He’s especially knowledgeable about baseball and historical mysteries!

I saw a recommendation for this place and decided to stop by after the NJ Renfair. I was initially disappointed but once I got inside I was like, wtf!

We should just make a larger state police responsible for all emergency calls and investigative work, and then have each county have a department for general law and order and traffic control.

As a plus to Princeton if you call before you go in they have more book inventory then what's in the store, and they have most of their books listed on eBay.

80 is nice to cruise on in off-peak hours.
Bonus points that you can take it across the entire country coast-to-coast. Which I've done in the reverse direction i.e. CA -> NJ

I lived in Cherry Hill/other parts of Camden County for 10 years and can't agree enough. 130 is great if you want to get your adrenaline pumping because people who drive on it are nuts. But I'll add 295 is nice when it's not rush hour or having construction.
