Since you've already spoken with him and he's not doing anything to remedy the issue, and the issue is preventing you from enjoying your own land, then yes, contact the town/county. He's the one violating the law. You're doing nothing wrong by notifying authorities.

You're required to return your old plates to the MVC. Interesting question if you can transfer your registration from the old plates to new ones, which you should because it is a like for like replacement for the same vehicle. Probably ask at the MVC when you go drop the plates.

There are so many liquor stores in NJ it’s astounding. My tiny town has one and they are opening another a block away. Why do we need two liquor stores mere feet from each other? No surprise they voted no on dispensaries.

There were a lot of other state needs. Pension funding, pre-existing highway and other transportation costs (e.g. NJ Transit), you name it, there was a budget area that was short funded, and some at risk of legal consequence. The state's credit rating is another factor. Taking on the gateway project debt, at that time, could have been been really bad for our credit rating, and consequentially increased the state's borrowing costs. We just weren't in a financially appropriate place for that kind of project at that time.

Under Murphy, we're in a much better fiscal position, and federal support for Gateway with Biden's infrastructure plan is better now than it was back then.

I know everyone wants to crap on Christie, and I'm no supporter, but this is one topic I think he made the right moves on.

Hope this helps answer your question. Cheers.

depends on a number of factors actually. if they have global entry, they could be out of the airport very quickly...it took me three minutes last week from stepping off the plane to luggage claim.

i'm assuming you are not renting a car (big difference driving in London vs NJ...) Especially after a long flight I'm sure you don't want to sit any more but personally i'd bite the bullet and go down the shore and not have to deal with it the next day. not too many typical hotels by the shore, so I'd suggest an AirBNB or bed and breakfast. really anywhere except point pleasant would be a good option

Just crazy how people literally don't (can't?) think.

Even if they didn't bother to have that stuff documented before, you'd think they'd have made sure to get the login/password before they fired him. Did they not even think for a hot second about who was going to take on those responsibilities afterwards, and how?

Hilariously stupid.
