For short walks and short stays away Amy Hazelton and co over at You Lucky Dog have been a god send for my dog selective pup. She doesn’t have aggression issues but definitely also doesn’t thrive in a group doggy day care environment. We haven’t used them but Paw Haven has a boarding option for “individual enrichment” which includes 1:1 time with staff instead of the group romps which could work! Good luck!

You can afford to rent anywhere you want. Try visiting the city in April and imagining where you might want to spend all that money on rent. Check out the new luxury apartments in The Hill, they are probably nice and super close.

We tried to fly Avelo today and had a horrible experience. After 12 hours in the airport and multiple delays and cancellations we have no flight and our holiday trip has been cut short but 2 out of the 4 days. So we are not going and trying to find something to do for our kids. It was a horrible experience they contract in people to work their gates who are not actually with avelo and have no contact with them. We had more information following the online tracking then they did. If you question anything no matter the tone of voice from sweet little girl to mean hateful person they threaten to kick you off the flight. They lost our luggage and then after the cancellation of the first flight made us all go get our bags and re check them in and then go back through TSA. They are the absolute worst!!!! Never again.

I've flown out of and into all the New York area airports and out of Bradley a bunch of times. Trust me, fly into and out of Bradley if you can. You'll likely be in New Haven within an hour of getting off the plane. NYC airports may take you anywhere from 3 to 5 hours to get to New Haven. You just never know about traffic. It can be gridlock from the parking lot all the way to Bridgeport, CT before it opens up. I'm an Uber driver and refuse to drive west toward the NYC airports. And I love NYC, but i value my time. You're flying from L.A. and I imagine you'll want to kick your feet up and grab a beer or a bite to eat as quickly as possible. Bradley is a hidden gem of an airport. Good luck.
