Barracuda has a great happy hour till 7pm! Affordable food/drink. Left there last time I went having an app, 4 drinks (between my significant other and I) and meals for only 40 bucks (before tip).

Oh, damn. Bummer another shitty club opened there. For a bit, it was going to be developed by the owners of College Street Music Hall, then by the Shubert owners. Both fell through.

Clubs bring a stupid crowd to downtown. Another legit music/entertainment venue would be so much better.

Blue Orchid has an amazing happy hour from 10pm-12am! It doesn't get too crowded, so it's a great spot to hang out and chat with friends. Also, great Pan Asian food.

Geronimo’s, Mezcal, Camacho for margaritas.

You’re not going to find margaritas at a pizza place. BAR and Nolo have a fuller drink menu. The other pizza spots are more beer. Next Door doesn’t open until 4 but has a full drink menu.

Te Amo has great food and obviously gonna specialize in margaritas, but not a pizza place. They have great happy hour too but not sure if on Friday, take a peek at their website

Unfortunately new haven doesn't really have any restaurants or bars. It's nearly impossible to find them as you traverse downtown or if you google.

I haven’t been into the newest iteration of 144 Temple, but it’s consistently been an underage bar for the past few years. Even if the new owners are trying to go aboveboard, they’re going to have to fight that reputation with the kids. Rumaj on Crown is another culprit. Last night was a hot mess with 19 year olds puking on the side of the street.

Blue orchid (Court and Orange St downtown) is a fantastic bar and restaurant. Owned by a gay couple and most of my New Haven LGBTQ+ network has been a result of that place. There's Partners for the younger crowd, but for us younger professionals blue orchid is our queer cheers!
