Check with the City of New Haven Parks and Recreation Department for school pool schedules.

I would suggest membership at Albertus Magnus College to use their pool, but I think they just reduced their hours. Check their website for the Cosgrove Athletic Center.

The JCC in Woodbridge has a nice pool.

Sally’s is my favorite by a mile. Modern comes in second. Really like Ernie’s over in westville/amity. It’s out of the way but worth it. Dayton St. can be hit or miss but is overall very solid and right down the street from Ernie’s. Pizza House is also very good but not New Haven style apizza, it’s more your standard Greek style but like I said it’s very good!

Hard to say. Modern is up there. Zuppardi’s, Mike’s, Next Door, Nolo/Da Legna, Sally’s, Atticus Market, Zeneli are my other tops. Pepe’s when it’s good, but so inconsistent lately. There are other great spots a little further like Roseland, Jimmy’s, Strega, Papa’s, Bufalina. We are majorly spoiled.

There are two Indian grocery stores on Route 1 in Orange: India Farmers Market at 100 Boston Post Rd.: https://indiamarket.co and Bharat Bazaar Farmer’s Market at 81 Boston Post Rd.

Try zuppardis in west haven. I always get the chicken and bacon pizza and it’s amazing.

Atticus Market in East rock is totally different but really excellent. Their crust is somehow extremely light but also substantial and satisfying. They also have really great specials
