How much do you want to spend? I have a couch in my basement (covered) it's a Lazy Boy and bc it was under warranty, I had it serviced so it's looks brand new but we're not using it and probably never will. I'd really like it gone.
Edit: it's like a medium charcoal gray, sort of smooth material like microfiber but not, and reclines on either end of the sofa but the middle piece doesn't recline and you can pull it apart so that you can move it more easily.

Hellll no, I almost died in Hamden, ON WHITNEY AVE. 3 cars pulled up trying to rob me of my motorcycle and almost shot me. This was on the light at the eli Whitney museum. They chased me down all the way to New Haven. Needless to say, I moved out and got an apartment in Woodbridge. I'm good lol. Hamden is getting worse and worse as time passes. Even my mother's car got stolen out of her garage in Hamden. Both things happened in 2022

I'd check the Habitat for Humanity ReStores in Stratford and Wallingford.

Yeah, there are some gems to be found on Craigslist, but you for sure have to be ready to sift through all the scam listings to find them. Finding housing in CT right now is tough, OP. Good luck.

Apartments and medical office space. None of it the density that is appropriate, especially to build out New Haven as a biotech hub. And nowhere near enough apartments to meet demand.
New Haven County has one of the lowest apartment vacancy rates in the country.

This is the actual correct answer for OP in taking his price range into consideration. A surrounding burb on a bus line directly into downtown.

I will try New Haven buy nothing group, thank you! I’m a member of “tag sale” groups but they seem to be full of scammers.

The size of the city doesn’t per se matter. The demand for the available housing matters. Vancouver is more expensive than Toronto despite being smaller, for instance.

I live beachfront in West Haven and there is a bus to New Haven Green starting at 5:30 AM 500 feet from my door. Get a copy of the bus map and you can find pockets of accessibility all over.
