Aren’t those spots off limits because they’re specifically meant for city workers? It isn’t a fire lane or anything.

Plus your attitude in the report certainly wasn’t going to go far.

Is this your personal ChargePoint charger??

And what you can do to save time is try one of the many charge points in the New Haven parking garages. Temple st, air rights, etc all have charge points. It isn’t free, but it’ll be fast.

I’ve also driven into the garages and left in a couple of minutes telling them I drove it by mistake and they let me out. 😂😏

thank you all for your help and encouragement!

so far, all the downtown hotels refuse to provide blocks for that weekend and the ones that do are charging insane rates and/or demanding 2-3 night stays

we’ve reached out to hotels in orange for blocks so that’s been a saving grace and now we’re crossing our fingers for a rehearsal dinner reservation

Used to work in New Haven hotels - it won’t be too bad if your venue has parking, that’s by far the biggest hurdle! I’d look at some of the hotels in Milford/Orange/Branford for blocks - otherwise you’re gonna see some insane rates in New Haven proper. Let your vendors and guests know to plan for some other traffic, and book your rehearsal dinner venue soon! Let me know if you have any other questions & need help navigating. Congratulations!!

Hotel and parking are your main concerns. Get those squared away and you should be ok. Restaurant reservations if your event needs them.

Lol this is such a busy street, what an entitled person! Even if they are 'exempt' this is completely ridiculous. This needs to be brought to the board of alders or the mayors office so this person can be punished for acting like a complete jerk and disrespecting communal space. Theres a whole parking garage they can use they dont need to park here at all

There is no exemption for parking in areas that are clearly marked no parking. This isn't the case of a vehicle being in a legal spot but not paying the meter, etc. This is a case of a car that parks EVERY SINGLE FUCKING WEEKDAY illegally, directly in front of NO PARKING SIGNS, in an area with clearly marked lines on the road telling people NOT to park there. They then end up blocking part of the lane of travel since they aren't in any spot at all!

Show me an exemption in New Haven ordinances or state statute for this shit.

Definitely get the hotels booked ASAP. I think that might be the biggest challenge. There’s just not a lot of lodging here. You could always rent some sort of transportation if people have to book out of town.

Avoid the hotels right off Rt 15 in Amity.
