Im a bit confused why its up on a berm when you reach yale from there. It could potentially be dangerous for cyclists who are coming in fast and dont know the configuration.

There's an Alabama St near the harbor. Could be a neighborhood thing.

Edge of the woods, go up the stairs for all the spices you’d need.

ya I don't understand how you're supposed to get from the west side of Chapel to the cycletrack across the peanut.. use the bumpy ass sidewalk and go all the way around and cross the crosswalk twice??

Mostly run down, not a particularly nice place, and no Eskimo Joes for the likely OSU grad.

All good info. I've heard that Fair Haven has sketchy areas that you want to avoid though. I'm not the best person to comment on that, but FYI, I guess.

Top of the Shubert Theater parking garage is my preferred spot for July 4 fireworks. I can’t believe I’ve never gone up to enjoy a sunset—or sunrise. I’m sure it’s fabulous.

What are you specifically looking for? We carry a lot of exotic stuff at Thyme & Season in Hamden.

Checkout the end of poplar street… you can launch canoes there, have a barbecue, play some dice , overall a great community.

Rental realtors are awesome. I don't think the downvotes are from that part of the post. I think the part that says parts of Winchester offer exceptional living. Yes, the lofts. Elsewhere, not so much.

... Who is gonna stop you?
Ideally greenways should be for all forms of Human-speed transportation. I have no idea what the actualy city policy is, though.

If you enjoy hiking and looking to meet people, there are several Meet Up groups that focus on hiking. Great way to explore with people who might know the trails and get to meet people. As for living, first you need to decide what is important to you. Shoreline? Rural? Hi density housing? We have it all within a few miles of downtown New Haven.

I saw just “Alabama” spray painted on plywood yesterday downtown, and was very confused. Maybe someone likes country music?

Go to old say brook and drive to the say brook point in. Its on the ct river. You’d be able to look across it and see the bridges going to old lyme.

This is a pentagram, two of whose wings have been made into hexagrams. So edgy it’s silly.
