Sounds like the perfect day for me. If I had known earlier, that a heavenly place like this exists in New Haven, I would have spend a lot of great moments already there. I am back in febuary and looking forward to see my first game there with you guys. Cheers from a Vienna Gooner who spends a lot of time in New Haven recently. #comonyougunners

I agree. Zeneli is maybe a little better than Dallas-based Cane Rosso but not somewhere to take people from out of town when we’re in New Haven. I’ve had Neapolitan pizza everywhere, including in Italy. But the New Haven char is the specialty here. Wait in line at the New Haven Big Three like Texans wait in line for top Texas barbecue. It’s worth it.

There are lots of markets! I've found they're great for spices and non-perishables, but sometimes the produce can be more difficult to find. There are some panaderias around too. It is really easy to get on the train to NYC, so you guys will have access to good Mexican food, but it just won't be as close as you are used to.

My bf really likes the area. There's stuff he misses about home, and things he really prefers here, such as all of the green trees! There are also a surprising number of people living here from California. He is a graduate student, so we live in an area called East Rock, which is where most of the grad students live. It's a ~5-10 min drive to Fair Haven area

There’s a bbq chicken on Whitney, which is a Korean chicken franchise that’s actually from Korea - they have a ton of sauce options.

For Japanese, I’ve heard great things about Hachiroku. It just opened recently, but everyone I know who’s been has raved about it.
