For most of the area the two choices are Xfinity or Frontier. Some lucky people are able to get fiber from GoNetspeed. T-Mobile or Verizon wireless home internet might be available.

Frontier was only offering DSL the last time I checked with them which was over a year ago that may have changed.

GoNetspeed stops a few blocks away from me so I'm stuck with Xfinity too. I don't use my house there that often so I can deal with it.

the space hasn't existed for quite a few years. there is a venue in the same spot called "the cellar on treadwell" and another venue across the parking lot called "the space ballroom" which is unrelated to the original and doesn't really book local bands.

It’s safe - just order an Uber/Lyft though…the taxis ripped my friend off not long ago on his trip from Union Station ($40 ride or so to $100).

Side note - this post is yet another example of why union station needs to be redeveloped and become a center of economic activity for the state of CT

Not in New Haven, but Country Companions in Bethany is my go to. They are also my family's farm's go to for our large animals. Dr. McClure and her staff are the best.

I would not go walking out of the station to wherever you need to go but within the station and just outside area is fine and usually a lot of folks get out of the train even at that late night. So you will be okay.

I have not explored many vets in the area, but I chose Vet Associates of Westville based on the online reviews.

I’ve been taking my two cats there for about a year and have felt very taken care of by the Vets here.

A friend recommended Veterinary Associates of Westville after my dog received poor treatment from another local (and grifty) vet that would have killed her.

The doctors and staff at Westville are knowledgeable, inquisitive, and attentive. They will actively try to save you money by avoiding unecessary tests or treatments. My dog was 14 years old when we became patients there. She received outstanding care and lived to be 16. They helped with her end of life care, and after she passed away they sent a condolence card and made a donation to animal shelter in her name.

yes. inside is safe and outside is safe. outside it has improved since the housing project across the street came down. there were good people living there of course but people would "feel unsafe" by the buildings and crime associated with the development. if you are used to big city life then outside the station it will feel desolate but youll be fine
