The store I went to had the price, plus tax, plus a debit card fee that they said would be returned to me in cash after purchase. I just wanted a 5 pack of short joints and it was 40 bucks. My debit card was actually expired, so I ended up leaving empty handed after waiting in line for a bit. That ones on me, 100%.

I just cant get over the polished Apple store vibe of these shops. It went from being a gateway drug for stinky losers, to a medicinal herbal product that promises all sorts of stuff. I also don't really buy the stories they sell with the strains, I've smoked all sorts of bud and honestly, I don't see a difference between strains.

I am more than happy to call my plug, pick up at the spot, and toss him the cash in venmo. I honestly feel like I'm supporting a local craft dude at the farmers market more than stuffing cash into some rich guys business, plus he usually tosses me an extra gram or two.

I dont want to buy boutique week, I want the freedom to grow a few plants on my deck in the summer. I did it last year and it was super easy and really kinda fun, I didnt expect much from some bag seeds, sun, and some tomato ferts but I was happily surprised!

If you're taking a cab/uber, you should have no issue. I often come back to the station late and my car is in the parking garage. I try and be extra vigilant but have never had an issue.

There are a bunch of knitting groups around. If you search in this sub for knitting you'll see. I'm starting one that meets tomorrow in Hamden at the library but there are others in NH proper. DM me if you're interested in mine, it's queer-oriented but anyone is welcome as long as we keep it a safe space for everybody.

We’re working with different definitions then. I include transit as a part of walkability (and I don’t think I’m breaking with convention in doing so). But even without transit, I’d still put Boston ahead of NHV in terms of walkability. Each of the Boston neighborhoods you mentioned is walkable. Then there’s transit to get between neighborhoods that aren’t directly adjacent. The area around the green in NHV is hardly the size of a single Boston neighborhood. But if I had to compare the downtown NHV area to any Boston area of an equivalent radius, I’d still pick Boston. More shops to stop in along the way.

Stella blues has live music 7 nights a week and is a good spot to get into downtown. They also have an open mic night on Tuesdays. The Cellar on Treadwell in Hamden is also a great venue with great food. There are other good venues to play in town but those two are probably the most accessible places to try to start playing the area
