(21f) if you ever want to play video games online, dunno if that's something you like, feel free to dm me. Also, if you ever want to chit chat. I just moved to New Haven, similarly have no friend(s) in the area atm.

I haven't heard of a lot of major places closing in New Haven lately. A ton of places have opened. It has a heavily populated and fast-growing downtown with like 300 or 400 restaurants, unlike Hartford or Worcester. The one place I heard might close at some point is State House (a concert hall) because they are building a new apartment block on top of it.

Sounds like you've got plenty of good answers here, but just to be clear... the longer you wait the worse it gets. Late fees will be added to the tickets, and if you get booted or towed (either is possible) you'll likely be out $100s more than the original fines. Trust me, the day you get booted will inevitably be the least possible convenient day for you to get booted, they seem to have a sixth sense for that.
If you are able to pay them, you should be able to go online and pay them here. You can also contest them there if you think they were incorrectly imposed. I believe you have a limited window in which to contest them. I have successfully contested tickets before. There is also a link there in the event you cannot afford to pay them and can request a payment plan.

Thanks, I’ve actually been lurking on this sub for a few months 👀.

I ended up making a post because a bunch of places closed down in Worcester recently. I didn’t want to get my hopes up and show up at places I’ve heard about that are now closed.

They are two different cities though, so it’s probably not fair to assume that would happen in NH.

Seconding this! My partner is also introverted and a bookworm, with the added stress of a demanding job they dont usually have the energy for the usual weekend bars etc especially since they dont drink either - but the orchid is the exception. We've met most of our New Haven friends there and now do non-bar related activities with them.
