An “electric moped” sounds a lot like an e-bike. You don’t need a license to ride a bike (even an electric one).

Stop calling it a moped, stay to the right, and I’m sure she’ll be fine.

No, I found that it is on the DMV website. I was looking for the details on what the test would entail like you can find for every other class of license. Nothing goes inyo detail on the process like the operator’s license or motorcycle license.

263:33-a Moped License; Driving Mopeds. – The department shall cause to be issued a restricted license for persons without a driver's license or motorcycle license for all applicants who successfully complete the requirements for a restricted license. Applicants for such license shall be required to pass a written examination prepared by the director. No person shall drive a moped on a way of this state unless such person possesses a driver's license or restricted motorcycle license or is duly licensed to drive a moped by a license issued under this section. No person shall knowingly authorize or allow the driving of a moped owned by the person or in his or her charge on a way of this state by any person who does not hold a driver's license, a motorcycle license, or a moped restricted motorcycle license.

It's the same requirements as an operator's license. The difference is that the test would be on a moped, and then you only have a license for a moped.

Personally, I'd get the operator's license.

I've never known anyone with a moped only license. I have known people with a motorcycle only license.

This says something about her driving skills, lol. I lived in Denver for a bit and they never, I mean NEVER plowed during snowstorms. I had a rough go some days in my 4Runner.
