While NH has no state income tax. the property taxes and others are quite high and social services are lacking. Abortion rights have been put on the table by republican politicians multiple times and we have a republic Governor for now. please keep that in mind. What is available today may not be available tomorrow. The gay community is welcome here for the most part along with the rest of New England. Anyplace in New England a more progressive than Florida, but I would suggest Massachusetts over NH. Better schools, better medicine, decent social services, mass transit, small towns and big cities. But NH has the White Mountains and the Lakes Region to brag about which keeps me here. Vermont is VERY progressive, but is quite cold and border patrol has made a bit of a mess in some areas that abut Canada.

We'll see. Citizen's petition on the warrant to continue the ability to drive through it. Voters last year chose to close vehicular access from the south side and allow vehicular traffic from the north to the gazebo. There, one would be able to turn around and park. The petition that's on next Tuesday's ballot would allow one-way traffic through the whole parkway running south to north.

Yeah, it's an imbroglio.

It was set up to catch people “without papers” taking their kids to Story Land. I think they caught one illegal and harassed about 100 citizens in front of their children.

Look, I support profiling. MA and CT drivers suck as they speed recklessly up and down the interstate. Get that tax revenue! Setting up a “border checkpoint” more than 100 miles from the border but 10 miles from a family destination and then asking anyone not white for “papers” is bullshit.

Last time I crossed up North we presented our passports to the nice Canadian at the tiny booth. He didn't as much glance up at us and sent us through. We were on a Sunday drive. A few hours later we crossed back into NH. A HUGE facility with a dozen people. They peppered us with questions. "Why did you go to Canada for just a few hours." Like that. Even ran the mirror under the car, went through the trunk, looked at us like we were up to something. About five miles down the road was a Border Patrol SUV hiding behind a corner in case we had made a break for it. wth. The difference between the two attitudes was embarrassing.

Last time I came back from Canada CBP gave me a hard time. They really wanted to know if I had any citus fruit on me. The truth is I had 30 kilos of Old Dutch All Dressed Chips in my spare tire compartment but they didn't need to know that.

Oh the other thing that annoyed the shit out of me: during the Trump era CBP set up a fucking road block on 93 up near Woodstock like almost 100 miles from the border. How the heck is that "Live Free or Die"? Violation of my fourth amendment rights, and they're gunna narc on my stash.

Years ago I lived in Lebanon. I rented from Chiplin(sp). It wasn't fancy, a small one bedroom. But it worked for me. You could also check out Enfield it's not super far from DH.

Shopping for grocery you have so many options, from major stores Walmart Price Chopper etc to co-ops and if you travel to Claremont there's a Market Basket.

Or towards the homeless. Or the children in the care of DCYF. Or to DHHS to help struggling families. There are probably 1.5 million other things that money could have been spent on instead of protecting us from CANADA.

They connected my house directly to the fiber line across the street.

This is the second day I've lost internet from the afternoon into the next day. About to hit 12 hours.

Because the modem just kind of stops, they can't do anything but send someone out to me the next day. This is thevsecond time in 3 days it's happened.

Teaching and promoting a singular belief is 'illegal'. Teaching about beliefs in general is absolutely legal my friend. World Mythology and World Religions are a common class in highschool. For decades.

There are no current laws that force schools to tell a parent if thier child is claiming to be part of a certain religion.

If your claim is true. A law for that and not specifically about pronouns should be pass. Correct?
