Reply to I'll be in New Hampshire (staying in the Plymouth area) from March 16-22. Any ski resort recommendations? I've heard that Cannon and Waterville valley are good. I'm a solid intermediate skier, but haven't skied the East in a while. by Akamaikai
Cannon will either be the best or worst day of skiing you’ve ever had.
Waterville is always a solid choice.
I loved Wildcat.
I never had a good day at Loon.

Always seemed a bit strange to advertise a church with roadside political style signs and gimmicky stunts (helicopter Easter egg drop).
Hopefully congregants will be able to move past this.

Dang! I suppose I will never leave NH again after that synopsis. I'm actually quite ok with that.

I have personal experience with this as someone in my home had a psychotic break last year. We brought her to the ER twice in 3 days, but they wouldn't keep her. Local mental health administration ignored my emergency calls, her family wasn't local to us and was unsure of what to do. Took her to an ER 40 miles away and they were able to make arrangements to get her into a facility. It took almost 2 months of inpatient treatment to get her to come out of it. I wish my kids hadn't seen what they had to see but we literally had nowhere to go. Scariest and most frustrating thing that I've ever been a part of.

He might but that’s ten years of pushback and politics. So in the short run…… nothing.

Tenney is right in Plymouth but I've never skied it so no comment on how good it is. Canon and Wildcat are a bit unforgiving for beginners/intermediates but good rides. Ragged is a nice mid-tier mountain but it is south so coverage might be a problem. The problem with Plymouth and skiing is it isn't close to any good mountain area.

Definitely Waterville, Bretton Woods isn't that far from Plymouth if you want to venture out more. Loon is a little pricey and Cannon has a lot of expert trails.

I want to see updated spec drawings with trash outside, bikes/rec equipment, broken down cars, etc., in both summer and snow.

I don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

I have no actual information, but driving in NH - MA - FL for a long time. It has been my impression that NH has more stringent standards than MA for Major Highway construction. Deeper roadbeds, better stratification of stone and gravel, and perhaps thicker pavement. They also tend to have constant radius curves, especially on ramps, where MA tends toward decreasing radius curves. FL is different because most of the state is without frost or freezing which breaks down the road surface, and many of the highways are newer and flat. No snow, no salt, just heat.

Do you remember when they used some kind of paint to do the lane boundaries and the pain degraded the road so that there were holes in the road on 128 and the whole thing had to be repaved?
I think that some of the MA highways are repaved every year and maybe they just use cheaper materials because they know the road is going to get repaved anyways.
I think that Route 3 from Bedford to the border is in generally very good shape but 128 always has problem areas.

just a reminder that this isn't traditional "company housing" linked to employment. I realize it's fun to imagine worst-case scenarios but they don't apply here

The only place brass knuckles have been mentioned is internet comment boards. If there is a trial and not just a plea, I'm willing to bet we would hear about it.
