Thanks for sharing your experience! October 3rd is a tricky birthday to have regarding school enrollment! As a social worker, I definitely appreciate all the research supporting later kindergarten enrollment. But my son definitely needs some sort of leveling-up next year, rather than attending his pre-school for the third year in a row. If you have any ideas for our family, please let me know!

Oh I know. It’s Reddit + New Hampshire. Double whammy. But we can try to change it and open some thinking up a bit.

I don't have much to add to this conversation, but as one of the youngest in my class (because of the cutoff) it was a little frustrating at certain ages like 16 when all my friends could drive and I couldn't. Depending on where you live, it might be a nice thing to wait.

And Bretton Woods is not much further up the road.

I'd likely send them a certified letter with the notice. I would think about calling a lawyer and having him send the letter.
Disclaimer I'm not a lawyer, but if the forms aren't in the lease then I don't think they are a requirement. If the lease says notice then give notice done. But given how they're acting I'd think the crazy fake fees are coming so more thoughts about lawyer. But that's me.

I plan on voting for him also. I do suspect that he may have greater ambitions.

He's a dink. Has been since we were kids. He's just a shady politician with no friends.

I volunteer. I promise a light touch, full transparency, and only to step in if people think things are getting out of hand.

Will someone please think of the poor, oppressed, straight bearded white males?

Good luck getting people on this sub to approach an issue with nuance rather than making broad generalizations presented as statements of fact.

> Either the fed would sue NH (and obviously win)
Only because of Fed courts which have made things up out of nowhere (cough cough Wickard v Filburn). NH should just tell them to pound sand.

See you’re just completely lumping in Boston/Cambridge with the entire state. Most of MA is rural. So you don’t like city people - fine. I assume you also hate Manchester. But it doesn’t mean everyone is so different. Many of the people who live in Boston these days aren’t from MA either. So you just don’t like cities. That’s it. That’s your whole problem.

but we're not similar as has been discussed many times
NH is a rural/semi rural state. City people can say what they want from the comfort of their cube farm.

Thanks. My head got kinda crazy wrapped around the idea of “signing something”. It does seem reasonable enough.

As a lifelong renter, that sounds normal.
The pre-inspection can be useful if it's the same group who do the pre and final inspection. It was that way when I lived in IN, LA, and AK. Got to shake hands, chat, and realize holy cow you expect all this to be clean-taking notes furiously. Never really had a problem. Except once when a landlord in NC refused to return my deposit, but he was in the process of losing his realtor's license and likely his freedom for keeping the rents for the properties he managed.
The threatened fees are mostly encouragement for the tenant to clean things up.
As already mentioned, move out pics are pretty important.

The legislature, who are aged from 60-80 years old, have framed their opinions on pot use by watching the movie “Reefer Madness”
