NIMBYs gonna NIMBY. I’m pretty sure it’s not the same people. You have one group that wants more dense housing. There’s another group who wants everyone under 40 who isn’t an engineer to live in a tent, own nothing, and be happy. No hypocrisy. Just two groups who will never see eye to eye until the day they die.

Pretty sure we use the same daycare. If so, we can probably agree the owner (who made herself the director without any childcare or management assistance) has really tried our patience. I don’t understand why it can be so difficult.

I wonder if they actually made donuts in house back then. Now I think they just get frozen donuts to thaw and sell.

Terrible coverage as usual from wmur. Doesn’t even link the actual bill so people can read specifics and understand further , they are such a garbage organization…like so many
Like others say, stay in school to learn your skill. Whether a license is required or not I am certainly not going to let someone who hasn’t studied in the field to cut my hair…you r schooling will definitely be worthwhile but totally understand why you would pose your question after watching that.
Remember, it still has to pass house and senate

Remember the box?!? I remember working at the donut factory with those fellas. Small people, big hearts. Was a shame when they started employing full sized humans.

Our roof leaks from ice dams. It has since the 1980s.
Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

The main language is definitely English, but when I lived in Berlin in the early 2000s you could still hear French a fair bit among the older people. We even had a neighbour who was a younger guy and who insisted on speaking to my dad in French when he found out he was from France.
That said, Berlin French is atrocious.

Stay in school and get experience. A state license doesn't make the person. You can be your own boss without added fees.

I’m not concerned at all! I didn’t write up the headline, you can blame the UL for that one. I’m happy to see dense development and housing going in downtown Manch.

My sister is a master stylist, the education is very important. As you progress your career, the amount you can charge people is based on much more than your license. You'll take additional classes after you start working to learn products, specific color brands, etc.

Personal opinion is you completing school and becoming licensed(if still an option) will make your career more portable. You never know when you'll decide to up and move.
Having more things to pad your resume in your desired field is rarely a bad thing.

Stay in school and learn how to do hair properly. I tried to cut my son’s hair once and thought to myself, “this can’t be that hard.” He ended up looking like Jim Carrey’s character in Dumb and Dumber.

Reply to Where to stay for a weekend in mid-April? (Ideally: stargazing/low light pollution, on a train line, scenic bike ride, good food) by t-shirt-questforlove
Waterville Valley has a dark skies ordinance and is surrounded by national forest. Bike paths might still be snow covered. Road bikers love route 49 down to Campton.
Mud season will mean cheap lodging but most restaurants closed. Weather could be anything and everything all in one day.

Boy howdy you’re a transplant… 30” of snow over 10 days is absolutely nothing to worry about. Driveway, yeah, shovel it? Roof? If your roof doesn’t leak from heavy rain, it shouldn’t leak from snow sitting on it. The only risk from snow is crazy ice dams, or weight, and if your roof breaks from 30” of snow, you should have replaced your roof long ago
Also, if you weren’t a city boy, you’d know that you can’t trust a weather report as far as you can spit, especially in Feb. March is when you need to worry about snowstorms, and even then, you’ll be already bud, all the yetis and polar bears left when your housing development was built and destroyed their home.

The great ice storm was in 2008. The storm on Halloween in 2011 was a nor’easter/blizzard.

Current Cosmetology student here and wondering if I should quit school now because what is the point of spending my time/money if this approved? Barbering and Cosmetology licensing seem to be at the top of the list to go. Curious what are everyone’s thoughts on this in general.
