When I lived up that way I used to listen to VPR's Eye on the Sky. They often referenced that area of the Connecticut River Valley as being in a shadow area between the mountains that reduced the precipitation generally. I'm very curious to see if our personal weather guru u/TheCloudBoy has a similar or alternate theory.

So, you still have to threaten to cancel to get another deal, regardless of whether it is a monopoly or not.

When you call, you ask for their cancellation department, and you'll receive a person who can give you the discounts that you would get if you were a new customer, provided you sign a contract, typically for 2 years.

Source: I have done this more than once, in multiple states.

Do we have a Weds. PM update? Wunderground, which has been reliable of late, saying ~9" or so for Upper Valley- no changeover from snow to less desirable precipitation.

Idk why people have this need to hate on others. Im white but my whole life i have hung out with non white people. Other cultures have so much more to offer than "white culture" ever has. Foods with flavor, traditions going bzck thousands of years. All ive ever seen "white culture" do in history is enslave, rape, and pillage. So before people hate on other cultures study your own. People need to look in the mirror at their own flaws and deal with it.stop hating yourselves and taking it out on minorities. We are all HUMAN

I think that’s what some of the lawsuit between the states is about. Currently there is no tax credit between mass and nh. Living and working across state lines between two states that have income taxes there is a tax credit. My wife and I both work for Massachusetts companies and live in Nashua. She actually works for local government so she’ll always be paying taxes. My company is based out of north Attleboro but I run all operations in New Hampshire so I’m hoping that maybe something pans out in this lawsuit that benefits my tax situation.

>What is Corbin Park?

>It’s 26,000 acres of rocky New Hampshire land, fenced off, stocked with elk, eurasian wild boar and white-tailed deer. It’s private, but you can get in if invited by a member, or if you ask on the right day. It was built over 100 years ago, by a super-wealthy banker. Every year, hunters inside shoot somewhere between 200 and 600 wild boar, and between 40 and 120 elk and deer. The animals are fed through the winter to help keep the populations up, but you’re not allowed to hunt around the feeding sites.

>Members can get the meat butchered and smoked on site. They can stay in cabins and old farmhouses - the ones that are still standing - that are sprinkled throughout the park. They can hike up Croydon and Grantham peaks, the two tallest mountains in Sullivan County, which are inside the fence.

>It’s expensive to be a member, and only 30 people are allowed to be members. When someone wants to sell their shares, you’ve got to know a guy who knows a guy if you want to buy them; there’s no announcement in the papers.

>And we also know that most of the people who live near this park, folks like Brian Meyette, have no problem with the place and tend to say it’s a good neighbor. The park is quiet, pays its taxes.

>However you feel about all that… it’s up to you.

>In the end, I don’t think Corbin Park is actually a mystery. At one point, I spoke to Heidi Murphy a lieutenant with Fish and Game, who has been inside to help the park staff with occasional issues with bears.

>“It’s just you know a big huge patch of woods with some hunters that are camping out in some cabin,” she said, laughing at my insistence that it must be more interesting than that.

>“It’s, you know, it’s New Hampshire woods,” she shrugged.

Millionaires Hunt Club, for those like me that had no idea what this place is.

I was trying to stay open minded about you until you gave this predictable response. I try not to judge a book by its cc

No one is born with political beliefs and the fact that you act like being a libertarian is akin to being gay is abhorrent. Shame on you.

People aren't mean to you because of your beliefs. They're mean to you because you're a self-important moron with literally 0 common sense. Your victim complex is insane.

Well if you work in mass you still have to pay mass state taxes. Although New Hampshire is suing Massachusetts over taxation of remote workers/workers who cross state lines. I don’t think it’ll ever change for workers who physically work for mass companies but I do think eventually remote workers who live in nh will get the benefit of no income tax

I’m 1000% with you. But people still bitch.

These will complain about ‘Big Government’ spending our hard earned tax dollars on trains that only out of towners will use to rob our homes and violate the good name of our women. Shit, the state (I won’t tell you which side of the aisle) has already shut down the study, BEING PAID FOR BY FEDERAL FUNDS, into rail continuation feasibility.
